Windley School

Welcome to Windley School, located at Mungavin Avenue in the vibrant city of Wellington, New Zealand. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, we take great pride in our commitment to celebrating the cultural and diverse backgrounds of our school community.

At Windley School, we warmly welcome students and their families and look forward to working together in the growth and development of your children. We believe that strong learning relationships between teachers, students, and families are essential for success. Our goal is to provide every child with positive and successful learning experiences.

In our learning community, we hold certain beliefs that guide our approach. We believe that everyone has a voice that can make a difference and change the way things are. We encourage our learners to take action and make a positive impact in their lives and the lives of others. We also emphasize the importance of identity – knowing who you are, being who you are, and showing who you are.

At Windley School, we follow a term-based academic calendar. Term 1 starts on Wednesday, 1st February and ends on Thursday, 6th April. We observe Waitangi Day on Monday, 6th February and Easter falls during the school holidays. Term 2 begins on Monday, 24th April and concludes on Friday, 30th June. There is a Teacher Only Day on Monday, 24th April and ANZAC Day is observed on Tuesday, 25th April. Term 2 also includes the celebration of Kings Birthday and Matariki during the school holidays. Term 4 commences on Monday, 9th October and ends on Friday, 15th December, with Labour Day being observed on Monday, 23rd October.
