Block 3 is also proud to be a hub for Māori and Pacific students at Massey University. Our Māori @ Massey initiative offers a space to connect with all things Māori, while Pacific Massey provides support services, resources, and events specifically tailored to Pacific students.

In addition to our academic offerings, Block 3 is involved in various research projects and partnerships. From the School of Aviation's Chief Executive being elected President of Aviation New Zealand, to the New Zealand Food Awards celebrating its 2023 finalists, our institution is at the forefront of innovation and discovery.

We are also committed to addressing important societal issues. Our lecturers and psychology researchers are developing a gaming laboratory to explore the potential benefits of gaming on mental health, while a Health Research Council-funded project is using the creative arts to address issues of precarity and wellbeing. Furthermore, our researchers are examining the impact of COVID-19 on New Zealand's Asian communities and raising awareness about early earthquake warning systems.
