Wellington High School
About the Business
Welcome to Wellington High School, located at 249 Taranaki Street in the vibrant city of Wellington, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be a leading secondary school in the area.
At Wellington High School, we prioritize the holistic development of our students, providing them with a comprehensive education that prepares them for a successful future. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
One of our recent accomplishments is the unveiling of our new kōwhaiwhai inspired sign for Taka Kai, our school canteen. This sign, created by Toi Māori, reflects our commitment to embracing and celebrating Māori culture within our school community. We are also excited to announce the launch of the Kindo app for our canteen, making it even more convenient for students to order their favorite meals.
We have had numerous achievements in various fields, including the national Toi Wearable Art competition, the NZ Cyber Security Challenge, and the World Scholars Cup. These successes highlight the talent and dedication of our students and their commitment to excellence.
In addition, we warmly welcome our new international students who joined us in Term 3. We believe in fostering a diverse and multicultural environment, where students from different backgrounds can learn from one another and develop a global perspective.
Our school is also renowned for its achievements in music, art, and sports. We are proud of our students' accomplishments in these areas and encourage them to pursue their passions and talents. We recently held the Blank Canvas event, showcasing the creativity and artistic ability of our students. Furthermore, we are thrilled to have finalists in the IHC Arts Awards and Smokefree Rock Quest, demonstrating the exceptional talent within our school community.
As we begin Term 3, we are excited about the upcoming events and opportunities for our students. The Careers Expo and Future Focus evening are just a few examples of the valuable resources we provide to help our students make informed decisions about their future pathways.
