Welcome to Tui Park Kindergarten! Located in the beautiful city of Wellington, New Zealand, our establishment is situated on Mexted Terrace, 12b. As a point of interest in the area, our kindergarten is known for its exceptional outdoor space that changes with the seasons. It is not uncommon to see Tui birds visiting us, adding to the natural beauty of our surroundings.

At Tui Park Kindergarten, we believe in creating honest connections with children, which is why we choose to identify as 'yes' teachers. This approach has had a positive impact on supporting children's social competency, as we truly listen to and respect their needs. Laughter and fun are integral parts of our day, ensuring that children enjoy their time with us.

We have an open-door policy, welcoming whānau (family) to be actively involved in our kindergarten program. Past whānau often stop by for a cuppa and a catch-up, fostering a strong sense of community. Baking and cooking are favorite activities, with warm soup and bread often offered on chilly days.

Throughout the year, we organize various events to encourage whānau and community participation. These include treasure hunts, discos, Matariki celebrations, Christmas festivities, and PJ days with breakfast at kindergarten. These events create an atmosphere of fun and togetherness.

At Tui Park Kindergarten, we value and celebrate diversity. We recognize the three official languages of New Zealand - English, Māori, and New Zealand Sign Language - and incorporate all three into our program. Our strong emphasis on bi-cultural practice ensures that all cultures are respected and cherished. We encourage whānau to share their cultural traditions and knowledge with us, enriching the learning experience for everyone.
