At Federation Children's Centre, we offer a caring and supportive environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. With centers available at Mt Helen, Ballarat CBD, and Churchill, we aim to provide quality childcare and kindergarten programs. Our centers are open not only to Federation staff and students but also to the local community.

We are proud to announce that in 2022, Federation Children's Centres will be offering a Victorian Government funded 3-year-old kindergarten program. This program has proven to have positive effects on a child's development, and we are excited to provide this opportunity to our children. We believe that two years of early learning can greatly benefit early childhood education.

At Federation Children's Centres, we understand the importance of early childhood education and growth. We celebrate, respect, and value each child's individualities, ideas, and opinions. Our passionate and professional team of educators is committed to providing valuable experiences and opportunities for every child on their learning journey.

Our educators focus on play-based learning, along with planned experiences, regular outings, and spontaneous adventures. These activities are tailored to each child's developmental stage and cover various areas such as language and literature, music and movement, art and craft, dramatic play, science and math, sensory motor activities, and physical development.

We believe in partnering with families to encourage and foster a lifelong love of learning. Family involvement is highly encouraged, as it helps children develop a sense of continuity and community between home and the center. We regularly host family events, including art exhibitions, Winter Solstice Lantern Walks, picnics, and special friend breakfasts, to strengthen these bonds.

To keep families informed, we use the EarlyWorks application. This app allows parents to stay updated on their child's educational journey, extend learning opportunities, and receive important updates and reminders from the center. The EarlyWorks app is available for download on both iPhone and Android devices.

Our centers are designed with your child's play and learning in mind. We have spacious outdoor play areas that encourage exploration of the natural environment, imaginative play, climbing, swinging, and building. Indoors, we provide a range of experiences to promote meaningful play and guide children to grow and thrive.

Located within the new state-of-the-art Health and Sports Precinct on the Mount Helen campus, our center offers additional benefits. We have a community gymnasium, a heated indoor 25-meter pool, indoor sports stadiums, an active studio, tennis courts, and an outdoor multipurpose oval. This allows us to support you in achieving your health and fitness goals.
