Kumeu Village Kindergarten

Welcome to Kumeu Village Kindergarten, located on Shamrock Drive in Kumeū, New Zealand. Established in 1994, our institution is dedicated to providing high-quality educational experiences for children aged 2-5 in a caring and fun environment. We take pride in our long-standing staff, many of whom have been with us since our inception, and our consistent recommendations from schools, whānau (family), and the community.

At Kumeu Village Kindergarten, we have built an outstanding reputation for nurturing children's love for learning and establishing a solid foundation in literacy and numeracy. Our dedicated and highly experienced teachers, led by Gabriella, our Head Teacher, have been recognized for their exceptional leadership and teaching skills. In fact, Gabriella received the Regional "Teacher Excellence" award in recognition of her outstanding contributions.

We offer both sessional and day care options for children aged 2-5, from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm. We exceed the required child/teacher ratios, ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they deserve. Our focus on literacy and numeracy skills will give your child the best start to meet their future learning needs. One of our latest developments is our focus on child observations and creating learning records. Every four to six weeks, we share these records with you and discuss the learning goals for your child for the next period. We also take into account your family goals. This unique approach helps us track your child's growth and development effectively.

Our Ministry of Education Education Review Office (ERO) evaluation in April 2016 found that our Kindergarten is Very Well Placed to meet the needs of the children. This is the highest service evaluation provided by ERO. However, we are continuously striving to further develop and offer even more fulfilling learning opportunities for the children and whānau.
