About the Business
Welcome to Mount Rowan Secondary College (Wendouree High), located at Forest Street in Wendouree, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be a leading secondary school in the area.
At Mount Rowan, we believe in delivering a comprehensive curriculum that meets the standards and requirements of the Victorian Curriculum F-10 for years 7-10. Our focus on English is central to developing confident communicators, imaginative thinkers, and informed citizens. Through the study of English, our students learn to analyze, understand, communicate, and build relationships with others.
Mathematics is another core subject at Mount Rowan. Students in years 7-10 develop essential skills in fundamental number skills, algebra, measurement and geometry, and statistics and probability. We recognize that literacy and numeracy skills are crucial for success academically and in the workforce.
Science is a core subject in years 7-9 at Mount Rowan, covering four main strands: Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, and Physics. These formative years provide students with a foundation in scientific knowledge and inquiry.
The Humanities offer students a framework to examine the complex processes that have shaped the modern world. Students investigate responses to different challenges, including people's interconnections with the environment.
The Technologies provide a platform for students to learn how to use technology to create innovative solutions that meet current and future needs. Students are encouraged to make decisions about the development and use of technology.
Music and Drama allow students to express themselves in unique ways, exploring personal, cultural, and social worlds. Visual Art, a core subject in years 7 and 8, helps students develop skills using various mediums, techniques, and art forms.
Health and Physical Education (HAPE) are core subjects in years 7-10, where students develop skills in fundamental motor skills, fitness, athletics, volleyball, gymnastics, and dance. In sport, students have opportunities to engage in friendly competition and foster teamwork.
We are thrilled to offer aspirant and capable students access to our ACE TEAMS program, a STEAM Academy program for years 7-10.
At Mount Rowan, we prioritize the safety of our school community. We have implemented COVID-Safe strategies, including mask-wearing, social distancing, hand hygiene, and staying home if feeling unwell. Our school is operating classes and learning, and if you're interested in a school tour, please reach out to us.
Join us at Mount Rowan Secondary College (Wendouree High), where we foster academic excellence, personal growth, and a supportive learning environment for all our students.

"Absolutely horrible school my daughter got bullied for most of her year 7 and now in year 8 her mental health went down kids telling her to go kill herself and the teachers and especially the principal does nothing to help, she has been on suicide watch gone through Child and youth mental health in Forest St, finally stands up to her bullies and she has been punished for it by the principal, so absoolutely DO NOT send your children there, , a girl that bashed my daughter has said she will do it again and the principal won't let my daughter do normal classes and thinks it's ok for her to stand in the street this girl lives right near the school to catch her bus home at odd times of the day , wow they ready don't care about child safety, o and I don't have a car so it's 2 buses she has to take to get to and from school, an absolute disgrace of a school it had a bad name many years ago and it certainly has not changed"

"Pretty good school, Canteen food is good despite being healthier than most. Wish the locks were free though, i have to run to my locker to stop a certain person from stealing my food."
"There's a reason I moved schools, some teachers were awesome but others didn't care abt students at all. I remember getting bullied and standing up for myself, and I got in trouble because teachers sided with the bully. The bully is my reason to move schools, and also because the school couldn't offer what I needed to succeed."
"pretty bad school don’t recommend, fights happening pretty much every day and kids getting bullied on a regular, don’t bother going there at all."
