The Anna Centre

"I recently had a session with a counsellor that involved an issue that impacted myself and my daughter. A key outcome of the session was that the counsellor, from the information provided determine the best child counsellor at the centre, to deal with the issues. Unfortunately this did not occur, which was very disappointing as it that was the basis of the appointment. I raised this issue however to this date I haven’t been contacted. From this I have real concerns for the centre to be able to address complex issues. If you have complex issues, especially involving children I suggest you seek other options."

"I wasn’t going to provide any feedback because I was certain this would reveal my identity to the Anna Centre. So..... I didn’t appreciate the way I was spoken to by a Psychologist at The Anna Centre. Instead of canceling the next appointment, I wrote a well thought out and respectful email letting them know how I felt. In the appointment following that email, I was told I am “too fragile” for a private practice that operates Monday to Friday, and was refused any future appointments at all. They flatly refused to comment or reply to anything to do with the email but assured me that they were not “upset with me”. I was then told to go back to my Dr, who by the way, is ALSO a private practice. Edit, the above review was in response to the Anna Centre's claim that my one star rating, with no comments, was not valid."

"Clinical and admin staff are great. Appointment confirmations are emailed straight away and reminder messages sent by sms 48 hours prior to appointment times. A safe environment with a professional team capable of providing a range of psychological services for individuals, families, groups, and organisations. Easily accessible by public transport. No onsite car parking but ample on street parking on Rowan and View Streets, just allow time to find a spot."

"I will start this by saying that the doctors here a lovely, really good people. I have struggled to find the right fit for myself but I finally did at The Anna Centre. The only problem I have with this place is its to high risk for myself to be there. I run a small business out of town with 3 employees, just enough for us to cover the workload, if someone calls up sick I generally can not leave as we are pretty busy and unfortunately as I found out today if you do not give 24 Hr notice that you can not make it there is a $180 fee involved. Unfortunately I can not guarantee if my boys will be in or not so i have had to move on, shame really."
