Reviews
"My expectations for the Old Crown were super low - after all I had read the reviews. My gripes: - the bed was very hard and uncomfortable - lots of noise late at night and again early in the morning. There was a three or four hour window where it as quiet. We were in a room on the lane side. Perhaps the rooms on the other side are quieter? - No shampoo, hairdyer, wifi or hanging space On the plus side: - The room although small, was perfectly serviceable for a one night stay - Bathroom clean, shower hot - Communication re parking, check in etc was very clear - We snagged a park right out the front Not the worst place I've stayed. If we'd paid $125 a night I would have been satisfied but unfortunately we paid much more than that."
"The good thing about this place is that close to the activity we were interested in. There was no reception, No WIFI, no own parking unless it is a public a holiday and if you are lucky enough you don't need to pay. Everything was done online or through your mobile such as code etc for your access. On arrival the lady was kindly allow us to use the toilet after our long trip as our room was not ready when we arrived. We stayed in a large disable room with huge bathroom and toilet. There was no curtain and nowhere to put your clothes or towels. There was no shampoo and just one soap, if you are planning to stay in this place I would advise to bring your own hanging rack for your convenience and some cutlery. Nowhere to put your toiletries. You can make a request as no staff is on site at that time- so it feels like "SELF SERVICE " if you don't like mentioned above please do not stay here."
"Great location but that's about it. Beds and furniture need replacing. The number rings out and they never respond. Better places to around."
"WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE I arrived to find a dirty room - bed unmade, wet towels all over the room. As there are no staff on site and 1x phone number it took 15mins to get through and talk to someone. Swapped rooms, still filthy, bed uncomfortable, Tv remote doesn’t work, an electrical plug in the shower - honestly you can’t make it up. Believe the terrible reviews - I found out the hard way. A hostel - NOT a motel. I’d pay $25 a night not $150"
"Great location. Only positive. Beds so uncomfortable. Sheets had holes in them. Rooms very cold. Not enough blankets The rooms aren't dark at all, lights from outside and the hallway. Coming through all night We booked a family room, no where to store anything. Half a roll of toliet paper left for us. No contact numbers left to contact anyone. Very noisy outside from 6am. Do yourself a favour and don't book here. I only left one star, because I couldn't leave any."
