"I'm at my wits end with this bloke, been chasing this bloke for money owed for the last two years, had a retaining wall done which was falling over within 6 weeks and had engineering consultants come and do reports which failed horribly. Started a fence and got paid which was never finished. He's blocked my number and email. It's cost me nearly 10k to fix the poor workmanship. I've given him the benefit of the doubt the whole time and I'm done and will be going further. Better resolve this asap Matt."

"My opinion is this would be the most stressful, humiliating and depressing experience I have ever had hiring a company. After more than a year of time to complete the 100% paid job (retainers and fence shared with neighbour, retainer and steps, level up. Prep turf, lay turf, gates), if they actually showed up and did anything, as the engineer told us, it was woefully insufficient and has to be torn down. The engineer wrote up an official report which was sent to them. Still has not refunded me even $1, even though most of the job has never been started (fence, steps, prep for turf, turf, gates), will no longer reply to myself and we have had to submit complaints with the office of fair trading and qbcc for support. Truly awful experience. I hope they will do the right thing and issue a refund."

"We are building a retaining wall at our house which my husband and father in law has built. My husband and father in law were a bit unsure how to build some stairs into the retaining wall, so we put an add on facebook for someone to come and give us a quote on building the said stairs. Matthew (MCEL) contacted us and organised a time (08.04.20) to come to our place to see what was required. My husband showed him what was needed and what he wanted. My husband asked him to quote on finishing the wall and all that was needed was the stairs, drainage and backfilling. We were supplying all the materials, Matthew and his team were just there to provide the labour as such. We also asked him to quote on building a retaining wall around our pool aswell, and we would also provide the materials, and Matthew and his team would just provide the labour. Matthew was quick in sending out a quote (I think it was within 2 hours of him seeing what was required). We excepted the quote and, I asked him if there was any further materials that were required to complete the said job. He said that we had everything that would be required but he would need 70 20kg bags of cement for the post. I went and brought the said bags emailed him to let him know that we were ready when he was. This is were it just went down hill. He stated in an email that he was a little busy and he was going to try and get out there on the Friday afternoon, if not Saturday morning. No one showed on Friday, I didn't worry as he said possibly Saturday. Well no one showed on Saturday either. No phone call no message just no communication at all. We are very understanding people, and understand things happen, but no message no phone call to say they weren't coming is a no no as for as I am concern. I deceided to ring him , and he stated that he was busy and he wouldn't be able to get to our job until the end of the next week. Well no show again. No message no phone call, to say he was not coming. (Parthic). We rang him again and he stated that the job he was doing had blown out and was taking longer than expected. I excepted this as things do happen, but I stated to him, just let me know, if your not going to turn up or if you are going to turn up when we have made a date. Long storey short he made a further few appointments to come and start with all no shows. Once he did send a message saying that he wouldn't be able to make it, and that he would try on the next day. NO SHOW AGAIN. Yet we stay home all day that we had organised for him to come. We have turned a few times again to contact him to ask when he was coming to start, and now he will not answer his phone to my number or reply to any messages from me. Now I have $650.00 worth of cement sitting on my patio when I could have used that on something else. I had asked him if he needed me to pay a deposit to set a date, and there was no reply to that. He obviously doesn't want the work. Be aware and be careful of this company. I am lucky I haven't paid any money to them, but I am still $650.00 down the hole as such. Not happy"

Nothing was to much trouble as i made a few changes along the way. Would highly recommend for any works required and will certainly use Matt and the boys for any future landscaping. Well done Matt!!"
