"Have been ogling over this shop for a few years now as nothing can be purchased on line. So a trip to NT from Qld and I thought….finally. How disappointing, the lady in the shop barely said hello, and if I hadn’t of initiated I really believe she would not of all even looked up. Would have been lovely to hear about the store, the fabric, the artist, the values of the store. Was looking for something unique, something special and not overly concerned on price. Anyways….. I’ll keep my dollars and spend elsewhere thankyou. Missed opportunity. ….."
"Save yourself the trouble. After going for a look from a friends information, it was hugely disappointing. Service, atmosphere nil"
"the service was very bad I came there wanting to try on the clothes it was difficult and when I tried on the clothes I wanted to buy the clothes instead the seller didn't want to sell the clothes to me with the reason that it was a bit too big for me and I said no problem I could shrink it but he said it was problem for him, he doesn't want to sell it to me but that's an unreasonable reason and I know it's because I'm Asian not Australian, I'm very disappointed with the service there especially to Asians"
"Pretty Woman moment! On a recent trip to Darwin I went into Raw Cloth on the recommendation of a local friend with my sister-in-law and a friend. We had been holidaying the Northern Territory and were looking for a dress for a special birthday for my SIL. We were casually dressed. On our entry into the shop the proprietor barely grunted at us and did not leave her desk to assist us. At no time did she help us but she fawned all over another customer who came in. The only time she interacted was to tell us we had put the dresses back on the wrong racks. After a while she called me over to tell me that there was another shop in town that would suit us better and she mentioned a shop name and a brand - Yarra Trail - that she deemed would suit us more than her pieces! So we left. She made the classic mistake of people in fashion retail - quick judgement based on appearances. We found another dress for my SIL at another shop and paid twice the price of the most expensive dress in Raw Cloth. Like Julia Roberts' character in Pretty Woman...big mistake lady!"
"Visited Raw Cloth in Darwin. Stunning patterned cloth from a range of cultures and countries with clothes made on the premises...Stunning cloth for stunning, unique designs. The inside of the store is a working dressmaking environment, with staff busy creating beautiful garments. There is also a range of gorgeous clothes hanging up, just waiting for new owner. Staff were excellent in helping to choose garments that suit the person's build and tastes, not the 'sale'. Looking great in the unique gorgeous patterns, vibrant colours and designs is the priority of Raw Cloth. Highly recommended"
