"Terrible Experience - Damaged my phone! I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received at George's Tech Repairs - GTR Darwin. I visited them recently to get the screen protector on my iPhone replaced, and it turned out to be a complete disaster. The technician took 20 long minutes to just replace a screen protector, which in itself was quite surprising. He also tried blaming the previous store for using different glue, a claim I highly doubt considering I've never experienced problems with them. That's not the worst part though. When I got home and had a closer look at my phone, I noticed that the screen protector was crookedly placed. But that's not all, there was a small crack on the top right corner of my screen. Initially, I thought it was just the protector, but on removing it, I realized my actual phone screen was damaged. Before the repair, I had thoroughly inspected my phone, and I'm confident there wasn't a crack before this. So, it's clear that this damage occurred during the process of changing the screen protector at GTR Darwin. If a technician isn't capable or confident in their skills, they should be honest about it rather than causing more damage. I could've tried to replace the screen protector myself if they had admitted this upfront. Now I'm left with a damaged screen due to their poor service. I strongly advise anyone seeking tech repairs to think twice before using George's Tech Repairs - GTR Darwin. The service I received was far below acceptable standards, and it has left me very dissatisfied. They seriously need to reconsider their approach to customer service and their work ethic. I'm really disheartened by this experience. Reply: Hi George, Thank you for your response. I am attaching a picture of the crack on my screen, which is clearly visible when the phone is off. This crack was not apparent when the phone was returned to me with the screen on. Contrary to what you may think, this is not a defect from the new screen protector. I removed the protector and the crack is still clearly visible on the screen, not on the protector. Unfortunately, due to my tight schedule, I do not have the time to make another trip to your store or engage in extensive discussions over the phone. I shared my experience in my review not to harm your business, but to provide an honest account of my encounter at your establishment, which I believe is beneficial for the awareness of other customers.
