"READ BEFORE YOU BOOK! I will start by saying if I could leave zero stars I would, where do I begin! On arrival I was met by Dani who was friendly professional and forever apologetic about their computer system as it took half an hour to check me in, saldy this is where the experience went down hill quicker than the speed of light. After the delightful and professional service by Dani (despite the hassle of the computers) I then headed to my room, no sooner did I walk through the door and put my bag down, there was a knock at the door, it was maintenance telling me that I could not stay In the room as the carpet in one for the rooms needed replacing, so I grabbed my bags and back to reception I went, on arrival the que was out the door due to the obvious computer issues, I was standing off to the side, when I was asked what was wrong, to which i advised them of my conversation with maintenance and was told I needed a new room, this took another 40 minutes and I was in another room, I head to the new room to find a make shift "kitchen" which consisted of two coffee cups, a shelf and fridge (I wish I was joking) as you follow the stained carpet around the corner you are met with discount outdoor furniture as your lounge suite and a outdoor dining set as you dinning room, I really wish it stopped there but it didn't the lamps in the bedrooms were fire hazards, if the cable was moved ever so slightly (as in flicking the switch) the light would go out or flicker, continuing on to the bath room....... well..... I felt like I was looking at photos of my nan's bathroom in the 1950's, with signs clearly saying the plumbing is not great. As the night settles down and I shower my toddler my wife prepares the room where our child will sleep and realises there's a flood light beaming into the room and the sound of slaming doors. After the hussle and bussle of dinner and children my wife and I sit down on the dollar store outdoor furniture only to realise that there is yet another flood light beaming into our room, this makes 2 out of the three windows we have being taken over with flood lights and no block out blinds to assist. We paid for a daily "turn down service" and upon reading a note on the wall in the room, it advised that house keeping is done every three days, on our 3rd day house keeping never showed, we were required to empty bins on the third day and when we asked for bin liners or garbage bags we were told to go buy them ourselves. Originally we were booked for a standard twin suite from Friday night to Sunday night, however we decided that mandurah is such a nice place we wanted to stay one more night so we headed down to reception on Sunday morning first thing to add another night to be met with rudest most unwelcoming staff member we have ever incountered, I approached the counter with a happy "good morning" and was not acknowledged, I then asked if we could extend our stay by one more night even though we had expressed our disappointment of the stay the day before only to be met with "oh well, you chose to stay here" The very rude receptionist asked for our room number and advised me that when "the hotel" had to change my room we were put in a deluxe suite (still trying to work out which part was deluxe) and due to that I was required to either vacate and wait until 2pm to move To another room or simply pay $280.00 for one night! Unfortunately I had already changed my travel plans and was required to fork out and extra $100 ontop of my original charge for one night The day I checked out I was emailed and asked to do a survey and basically what is here was my feed back to the hotel, I replied to the survey hoping to atleast get an email back saying thanks for your input rather than getting an email back asking me to take the survey again I will not be returning and I will advise anyone who is looking to stay there to look else where, politely speaking I have seen better conditions in third world countries. This hotel clearly deserves zero stars and should seriously consider emergency renovations."
"For what it is, this hotel ticks the box. Granted, it’s old and has seen better days, but it’s affordable and centrally located. Pros: rooms are spacious, free parking, centrally located, friendly staff, clean. Cons: very dated. Though it’s been maintained well enough, I don’t think there has been a major overhaul for over 30 years."
"Fantastic family get away! The service was amazing on all days from reception, bar and house keeping staff. Such a great value for money! My family thoroughly enjoyed this!"
"Great location and swimming pool for kids making our getaway enjoyable as kids were entertained. Room very dated . Noisy aircon , hard bed , paper thin walls . Dirty dishes and found 2 chip packets wedged down the side of bed. Shower very hard to work . My 10 year old refused to shower as he couldn’t even turn the handle. Lift was scary as it kept jolting as it were going to fall. Will not be back."
"The Location is great for all amenities which is why we chose to stay. Service was great for a busy Saturday night. Room was warm, accommodating. Hair Dryer not working but otherwise all good."
