Welcome to St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School, located in Port Kennedy on Grand Ocean Boulevard. We are an establishment that is not only a point of interest but also a primary school, providing a values-focused Catholic co-education for girls and boys.

At St Bernadette’s, our main focus is on creating a fun and engaging learning environment for our students. We believe that children learn best when they feel happy and valued, and when school is a place of excitement. Our dedicated teachers ensure that learning is a fun and exciting experience for every child.

We offer classes from three-year-old Pre-Kindy through to Year 6, with two classes in each year group. Our school also provides outside school hours care, ensuring that your child is well taken care of beyond the regular school hours.

One of the highlights of our school is the great outdoor spaces and facilities we have. With an enormous oval, nature playgrounds, courts, and well-tended vegetable gardens, our students have plenty of opportunities for outdoor play and exploration.

Our school community is built on the involvement of our families. We welcome both Catholic and non-Catholic families who share our values of kindness, honesty, and respect. These values are not only taught in the classroom but are also reflected in our relationships with each other.

As a Catholic school, we also provide religious education and sacraments for our students. Through our parish, St Bernadette’s Catholic Church, children receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation.

If you have a child who is ready to start their educational journey, we invite you to consider our Kindergarten program. Our Kindergarten is a place of exploration, imagination, and investigation, where children learn through play and make new friends. Kindergarten is available for children who turn four years old before 30 June.

For younger children, we offer Pre-Kindy, which provides a gentle introduction to school and helps children form friendships and develop a sense of belonging. Pre-Kindy is available for children who turn three years old.

We also offer before and after school hours care, as well as vacation care, to accommodate the needs of working parents.
