About the Business
Welcome to Howard Springs Veterinary Clinic, a leading establishment for veterinary care located in the heart of Howard Springs, Australia. At our clinic, we are dedicated to working with you to ensure the health and well-being of your beloved pets.
Serving the entire Darwin and Rural area, we are proud to be the only true mixed veterinary practice in the region. Our team of experienced veterinarians is trained to treat a diverse range of animals, both large and small. From cats and dogs to exotic pets, wildlife, horses, cattle, goats, and sheep, we are equipped to provide the best possible care and service to all animals and their owners.
Continuing education and training are essential to us, as we strive to deliver the highest standard of treatment. Operating out of a purpose-built veterinary clinic, we have access to a wide range of diagnostic and surgical facilities, ensuring that your pet receives the very best veterinary care and outcomes.
Our services include routine health checks, geriatric assessments, and treatment for skin, ear, and eye issues. We also offer behavior and emergency consultations. With state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, we perform a full range of routine and emergency surgical procedures.
While we currently only offer self-service Hydro bathing, we encourage you to contact us if your pet requires sedation for grooming. Our team is here to discuss how we can assist you.
As the only practice offering full artificial breeding services in the Northern Territory, we are well-equipped to help you with your required breeding services. No matter how big, small, or wild your animal is, we care for them all.
Working in a mixed practice in a unique location like Darwin allows us to see a wide variety of animals. In addition to dogs, cats, and horses, we also have the opportunity to assist with buffalo, emus, and even crocodiles.
Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that the animals we see are restored to health as quickly as possible. We understand the importance of providing compassionate care, regardless of the size or species of the animal.
Howard Springs Veterinary Clinic has a rich history. Dr. Jamin Farebrother became the owner in 2003, and under his guidance, the practice has flourished and grown into the multi-vet practice it is today. In February 2012, we moved to our purpose-built facility, which has become the home of our clinic.
We consider ourselves fortunate to treat a wide variety of animals. While cats and dogs make up the majority of our patient base, we also care for horses, exotics, cattle, wildlife, and a diverse range of other farm animals. Dr. Farebrother has a particular interest in equine medicine, and we are proud to be the official veterinarians for the Darwin Turf Club.
Our ultimate goal is to provide you and your pets with the highest level of veterinary care. We take pride in working with you to maintain your pets' health and well-being. Contact Howard Springs Veterinary Clinic today to schedule an appointment and experience the exceptional care that we provide.

"We won't take our fur babies anywhere else. The staff are always wonderful towards both ourselves and our babies. They are always friendly, caring and compassionate. I would highly recommend Howard Springs Veterinary Clinic to anyone seeking care for their fur babies."
"The staff at HSV are an amazing dedicated team. My working dogs have been going there for years and they have provided great care for my dogs. You feel like more than just a client and they run afterhours emergency care also so I always know treatment is close if needed, no pot luck of who is on call. Highly recommended"
"Jamin is a very caring and knowledgeable vet. Very good at explaining things. Highly recommend."
"Had to take my little camp dog in after getting bitten by a brown snake. Great service. Great vet. Pricey but they all are and for a Sunday arvo call out it wasn't too bad. Highly recommended. Would trust that bloke with my animals again. Great job."
