Vinnies
About the Business
Welcome to Vinnies, located at Winnellie, Stuart Highway, 468 in Australia. As an establishment, point of interest, and store, Vinnies is more than just a place to shop. It is part of the St Vincent de Paul Society, which offers over 200 services to help people in need.
At Vinnies, we believe in supporting constitutional recognition of Australia's First Nations peoples, and we strive to combat social injustice across the country. With a dedicated team of over 45,000 members and volunteers, we work hard to assist those in need and make a positive impact on society.
When families find themselves struggling to cover the basics due to financial constraints, Vinnies steps in to provide practical support and ease the pressure. By supporting us, you can give Australians facing poverty another choice and help make a difference in their lives.
Our mission, vision, and values are at the core of everything we do. We are committed to welcoming and serving all individuals without judgment, regardless of their background or beliefs. Our aim is to establish relationships based on respect, trust, friendship, and understanding.
With a presence in 153 countries and over 800,000 members worldwide, the St Vincent de Paul Society is an internationally recognized organization. We are proud to be a nominating organization for the Australian Government's School Student Broadband Initiative (SSBI), and we actively advocate against the causes of poverty and inequality.
At Vinnies, we have countless success stories that showcase the impact of our work. Samantha, for example, received a helping hand from Vinnies that turned her life around, providing her and her children with a bright future. J, who was injured at work and retrenched at 55, found support and guidance through our programs. And D, who lost her job just before her 64th birthday, received assistance during her first experience of unemployment.
We are a lay Catholic organization dedicated to creating a more just and compassionate society. As we operate on Aboriginal land, we pay our respects to all traditional custodians and acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. This website may contain images of deceased members of this community, which are used with the utmost respect and appreciation.
If you are motivated and community-minded, we invite you to get involved in our programs, events, and services nationwide. Together, we can work towards transforming the causes of poverty and challenging human injustice. The St Vincent de Paul Society National Council of Australia Inc. is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient.
Join us at Vinnies and be part of the change. Together, we can make a difference and create a brighter future for all Australians.

Reviews
"I felt it was a little overpriced. Staff were nice however."
"Really organised"
"The place is clean but quite small. A lot of donated items piled behind the counters and in the changing rooms. Price is quite reasonable. The manager is a bit arrogant, they forget that items that they sell are donated to them."

"The most immaculately kept Vinnies I have ever been in, & I've been in quite a few. Also items very reasonably priced."
