"I would like to leave a feedback regarding an awful customer service we have experienced at Rivers Darwin. We have purchased a footwear that’s on sale yesterday (10th of June, 2023) and got the wrong size. We came back today (11th of June, 2023) asking to exchange the item for a different size. We are also not aware that the footwear we purchased has no other sizes. The staff behind the register informed us that they are not allowed to do any returns and exchange and that if she goes through with the exchange, she will “LOSE” her job. We waited for about 15-20 minutes for the supervisor/ manager of the store to be able to talk to us. She then informed of us and showed us the “Return Policy” of the store. I have worked in Retail and are aware that different stores have their own policies and that’s acceptable. My point in this is that the staff needs to inform each and every customer about the store policy even before the customer purchases the item and also because majority of the items in this store are on sale. The supervisor/ manager spoke to us in a very rude way and even said that it’s basic “common sense” to know that returns and exchanges are not prohibited when purchasing sale items. Not every customer would be aware of this as the sign at the front of the register is very small and can barely be seen. I also would like to add that I noticed the staff at the front register would often go on her mobile phone. The customer service in this store is very poor and needs improvement. I ask that the staff in Rivers Darwin goes through a thorough training process to succeed in the customer service department as I believe that customer service is all about providing good service with respect and right information to every customer."

"First bad review Ive ever done. Went to return some clothing. Basically staff implied I was a liar as I stated that I wasnt asked if I was member when I first purchased the items. Brand new shorts zipper was busted. Bought new shorts and t-shirt and a bunch of towells. Didnt realise I had been charged full price (on boxing day sales) as I wasnt a member. Then I copped lip from another staff member about why I removed the tags. I brought the items back with tags and receipt. Received a store credit. That was fine. Then I said thanks for your help and that was met with cold stony silence."

"Arrived at 3.30 on a Sunday after a 20 minute drive. Website said store closes at 4.00 pm. Had just chosen some items to try on - 3.35 and was approached by employee asking us to leave as the store was closing at 4.45. Not good enough, if you want to change your trading times you need to update the website. Very disappointing, and waste of time and fuel."
