The Met Hotel 348-350 Ruthven Street, Toowoomba City, Queensland 4350

"If you are desperate book a room at the met. The problem is the place is filled with many other desperate permanent residents who all have drug using and drinking problems There are constant non residents and they all have very loud parties on the communal balcony commencing at 1pm Every day. If you like to feel intimidated and threatened every time you go to the kitchen,bathroom or even walk down the hallway with your kid this is the place for you. At one point I witnessed a heated altercation in the kitchen while a family with a little toddler saw it all."

"We stayed for 6 weeks in 3 diffrent rooms during work. The pub in groundfloor is permanently closed.(wasnt open once during our stay). The Wifi is fast but some times its not working for days. The beds are pretty uncomfortable, you feel all the springs. It has cockroaches in the rooms and in the kitchen but depending in which part of the hotel you are there more or less. Room 12A was horrible, 8 okay and in Room 6 we had just one cockroach in 2 weeks. I wouldnt call the kitchen a kitchen, its just a kettle, microwave and a fridge but better than nothing. The Showers are hot and clean (especially the one next to the stairs). You just get one towel, linen and trashbag nomatter how long you stay. Would appreciate a change once a week. But all in all you get what you pay for."

"If you are keen on taking bed bugs hope or possibly catching tibia from the showers then this is the place. Probably the cheapest ,nastiest place to stay in Toowoomba. At one point I thought it was ok but after this week I had 11 days booked and was asked to leave after 3 with no explanation. They refuse to return the $400 I need to find alternate accommodation so spent night in cold and rain. If cold ,heartless , filthy cutlery and plates us what you want then James and Jasmine here can cater those needs for you. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"

"If you like cockroaches jumping onto your bed you should book. Never have I been in a room with so many cockroaches. If you are able to use the wifi its still a useless speed and your better of using your own data. But most of the time you wont be able to connect anyway."

"Nice little pub with plenty of seating and love local bands playing often. Probably not the biggest selection of drinks on tap or the fridge but you'll find something close to what you like anyways."
