Rob's journey in upholstery began at a young age, sweeping floors at just 13 years old. By 15, he embarked on his apprenticeship, and at 18, he opened his first upholstery business in Brisbane in 1979. In 1986, Rob made his way to Cairns and after gaining further experience, he established his present business in 1997, serving Cairns and the surrounding areas ever since.

As a highly experienced upholsterer, Rob has honed his skills and can tackle any project. He has worked on a wide range of furniture and vehicles, utilizing various fabrics and finishes. His expertise covers domestic upholstery, marine fit outs, auto upholstery (including car roof linings due to the humidity), and commercial fit-outs for restaurants and offices. Rob has also collaborated extensively with the health industry, working with organizations such as Cairns Base Hospital, Qld Health, and Arc Disability services.

Beyond his regular work, Rob is passionate about giving back to the community. Each year, he provides upholstery services for the Cairns Wheelchair Clinic, modifying wheelchairs to meet the special needs of children. He also works with Cairns Honda, ScooterCo, and other motorcycle companies, recovering motorbike seats. However, his true specialty and favorite work lie in high-end antique and retro furniture restoration.
