Welcome to the Townsville Catholic Education Office! Located at Kirwan, Gardenia Avenue, our institution is a point of interest in the vibrant city of Townsville, Australia. As an establishment that supports 29 schools in our Diocese, our reach extends from Mount Isa in the west to Proserpine in the south, and north to Halifax.
At Townsville Catholic Education, we are committed to promoting inclusiveness, ensuring that all our schools remain accessible to every child. We firmly believe that no student should be denied a Catholic education due to financial inability or difficulty.
One of our recent initiatives, the Healthy Minds Project, has brought together students from six local high schools across Townsville. This project, generously funded by Rotary Club - Townsville Central and hosted by Ryan Catholic College, aims to empower students to become 'Leaders of Change' within their school communities. Through interactive workshops, these students develop and facilitate wellbeing initiatives, fostering a positive and supportive environment for all.
In line with our commitment to supporting every student, we also have a team of six dedicated speech pathologists within Townsville Catholic Education. They play a crucial role in promoting communication as a basic human right and raising awareness of communication disabilities. As part of Speech Pathology Week, which promotes the profession and the work done by speech pathologists, our team actively contributes to the theme of 'Communicating for Life'.
As an institution, we would like to acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia. We recognize the wisdom and knowledge passed down by Elders past, present, and future.

"My children had the worst experience at St Benedict's The principal failed to keep my children safe from a staff member even when given warning and multiple chances. Investigations were undertaken however Cath Ed refused to release the reports even though the investigator made it very clear to us the principal had done wrong. When we requested the findings of the investigation regarding our child all communication was blocked. However Cath Ed still illegally email us marketing emails weekly. Legal proceedings have begun."

Holy Spirit Catholic School (HSCS) is one of the Catholic Primary School in Townsville( TSV ) which serves silently to the community for more than half a century by now. As one of those fortunate parents we would highly recommend that HSCS is an ideal Primary School for those who are keen on the overall growth of their children's learning and wellbeing with practicability and affordability. The school's Administration demonstrates a high level of humanity, transparency, and accountability towards the students and families. The way the school enculture the students and families is amazing In our experience we witnessed that the HSCS's Curriculum Panel is willingly offering flexible learning programs to cater to special needs students to talented students. The existence of accomplished Teachers in almost all the grades is another strength of Holy Spirit School. The uniforms are conveniently designed for active kids which are bright in color to stimulate growing minds all day long. Recent infrastructure developments of HSCS provide modern learning spaces to enhance students' learning in all the classes from Prep to Y6, with the leading edge of technology which is vital for this digital era. We can easily see several Academics and Professionals who are Alumni of Holy Spirit still remembering the school with gratitude in TSV and elsewhere."
