North Cove Waterfront Suites 275-277 Esplanade, Cairns City, Queensland 4870

"Fantastic, but This is a wonderful hotel with wonderful staff, and I can't praise the staff enough. Very specious. The room was very clean. However, for some reason, the screen door for the balcony was on the inside and the main door leading to the balcony. The main door was sealed shut in a room with poor ventilation. As such, I had to keep the air con on all night, which I really hate, just to ventilate the place. If the screen door had been the one on the outside instead of the inside, I'd be able to open the main door instead of using the orders of magnitude more inferior option of keeping the air con running all night. Also, the air con was very noisy, so I had to turn sleep mode on and set it 10 hours+ of sleep mode operation. I was in a three bedroom apartment and the doors of all the rooms except mine could open to the balcony. I don't know why my door was sealed shut in the first place, but that's a different matter. Put the screen doors on the outside and seal them instead in the name of ventilation for the sake of everyone, including those who have to pay the power bills"

"First time staying here when I was in Cairns for work. Liked that the room had a kitchenette and the service at reception great. Locked car park was good. However, the room (no.5) was really run down. Cracked floor tiles in numerous places, another tile that moved down when stepped on, lots of marks on the walls and some kind of liquid running down the wall above the sink on the wall, trim on the microwave cupboard peeling, small bar fridge, not enough power points, a bathroom that smelt like a laundromat the first day and sewage the next day, battery and cover missing from air-con control, no soap holder or shelf on the shower, mis-matched towel rails with screw holes in the wall, gross stains on the ironing board…etc. Yep being picky, but the whole room was old and felt dirty. I could go on but I’ve been enough of a Karen. They need either charge a whole lot less or actually do some maintenance. Won’t be going back as for the price there are much better options in Cairns."

"These are the perfect apartments for self-catering close to Cairns city with underground allocated carpark space. They face the esplanade but the entry is on Lake street. I stayed in a one bedroom which was spacious, had excellent cooling, and good kitchen facilities. The pool & spa are really nice. It’s a few kms into cairns via the esplanade but it’s an amazing walk. The staff here are lovely & helpful. I was provided early checkin with full instructions. Would definitely stay here again."

"A nice budget friendly accomodation place with great amenities. Air-con in every room with nice views and clean rooms. Lots of room for 3 people as well, the bathrooms could be improved in some areas but overall everything else is great."
