"I do not recommend this place. I was given a quote over the phone by a lady who I assumed was the part owner, however when I came to pick my dog up I was charged much more than the quote over the phone,I won’t be back!"
"Do not recommend AT ALL. From the struggles to get photos of proof of life for my dogs stay (over a month) to bringing her home to find her extremely dehydrated with patches of fur missing. Had her groomed today (the next day after collection) to find a whole live FLEA NEST living on her chest !!!!! She was in so much pain getting her groom with all the bites and scratches she had been doing to get them off her. She also has sores on her behind which will need a vet visit. DO NOT RECOMMEND."
"Looked after our 8 year old ginger cat extremely well. He's more than a little nervous and has never been in cat boarding since he was a little kitten. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome and we were worried on our six days apart. Many thanks and praise to Tropical Pet Resort Annette and Glen."
"Would not recommend. We normally use a different pet resort but couldn't get in for this time. We picked up our boy after a 2 week stay and it wasn't until we were on our way home, we realised he had scratches all over him and bumps from an allergic reaction. That afternoon we took him to the vet because as pictured some of the sores were open and oozy. The next day we called the pet resort to find out why he was covered in scratches. They told us that over the Christmas period he was 'buddy sharing' with another dog but there were no altercations and the other dog was gentle. We said we believed that there was some form of altercation as he had a small chunk of skin missing from his lip. She went on to say that dogs can have rough play and our dog can get excited but there was no altercations. We also went on to say that in their care our dog had an allergic reaction and was wondering why no one picked up on this in the 2 weeks he was there and if they did, why we were not contacted . She went on to say that they felt it wasn't detrimental to his health and that they just bathed him in a medicated wash when they noticed the bumps. They didn't want us to be annoyed and ruin our holiday with a call.... He was almost 2kg lighter when we picked him up which was unusual as he's very active and his weight doesn't normally change. He wasn't the same dog when we picked him up and he still seems off (5 days later). For almost $500 for his stay and then a vet bill for $100 on top, I would not be recommending anyone leave their pet here and would suggest looking elsewhere."
