"Stopped here for 1 night on the way up north. Clean , well maintained park. The lady in the reception was friendly and welcoming. This beach is a nice walk on low tide. Food and drinks available across the road Can be noisy along the main road side of the park."
"Love love loved staying here. We jagged a beachfront site in our van for 2 nights and it was excellent. The weather was not on our side as it rained and the wind was out of control but the view and the facilities were worth it. Staff were very polite and informative amenities were super clean and convenient. Each site had their own garbage bin which was fantastic. The beach bay and grill is right over the road for Brekky and lunch if you can’t be bothered cooking which we fell in that category! Will definitely come back and stay and make this our base for the region again and hopefully the weather is better. Highly recommend."
"Pulled in early, mainly because we liked the look of the beach.. told no beach front spots.. fair enough. Did get to pick out spot, either backed onto the road, or the creek with the permanent stayers/workers camp. Spot was clearly not a spot, but has been opened up to get more people in.. couldn't open the awning, moved spots (luckily still could).. but gutted to see the 3 vacant beach front spots still vacant in the morning... whether this was because we only wanted 1 night (probably would have e stayed longer if we'd gotten the beach frontage) or because people book and don't turn up.. who knows. Caravaners looked like they are packed in like sardines.. wouldn't be suitable for a big setup!"
"As a Cairns locals we've been enjoying the place for years both as campers and staying in the beachfront units. This stay in the campground is not so pleasant - the place resembles a building site in places. Constant tree lopping work going on with the bobcat beeping all day when it reverses kind of trashes the tranquil atmosphere we come here for. To add insult to injury the the camping rate has been hiked up by $10 to $46 per night by the new owners. Yes, there are landscaping improvements ahead but we shouldn't be expected to endure that AND cop the increase. Just not acceptable. I can't fault the current management but expect the owners to address this."
