At Dancenorth, we hold a deep appreciation for the land upon which our work is created. We proudly acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, the Wulgurukaba of Gurambilbarra and Yunbenun, as well as the Bindal of Thul Garrie Waja. Their enduring connection to the land and sea is a testament to their rich cultural heritage. It is an immense privilege and honor for us to create on their extraordinary country.

In addition to recognizing the Wulgurukaba and Bindal people, we also pay our respects to the neighboring groups of our region, the Gugu Badhun and Nywaigi. We acknowledge and appreciate the diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, along with their wise Elders both past and present.

We firmly acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded, and we recognize that Aboriginal people are the original dancers of Australia. In line with our commitment to inclusivity and reconciliation, Dancenorth gratefully accepts the invitation of the Uluru Statement from the Heart. We wholeheartedly endorse the enshrinement of a First Nation's Voice to Parliament in the Australian Constitution. Furthermore, we passionately support voting ‘Yes’ in the National Referendum for the Constitutional recognition of Australia's First Peoples.
