"Muffin good. Latte was really all milk. Very little coffee. Add an extra shot if you want to taste coffee. Update June 2023. Came back here and tried again. Ordered an extra shot of coffee in my latte but still can’t taste any coffee. Asked the girl if they really added and extra shot and she said yes. Walked away from my milky coffee. Waste of money. No more chances here. 1/5"
"The setting was shrouded in a bleak and oppressive atmosphere, with a pervasive sense of despair that seemed to cling to every surface. The air was thick with a palpable sense of foreboding, and the landscape was barren and devoid of life, like a wasteland that had been ravaged by some ancient, malevolent force. Despite the desolation, there was a sense of grim beauty to the place, with its stark, jagged Chairs and twisted, gnarled vinyl that seemed to claw at the walls. What may have once been called beauty was now marred by a sense of decay and neglect, as if the world had been left to rot and wither away. And yet, for all its darkness and despair, this place had a strange allure that drew elderly people in, like moths to a flame. It was a place of secrets and hidden depths, where the shadows held untold mysteries and the darkness whispered of unknown terrors. But this allure came at a steep price, for this place was also one of the most expensive and exclusive in the world. It was a playground for the rich and powerful, a place where they could indulge their darkest desires and escape from the mundane world outside. In the end, it was a place of contradictions, where beauty and horror, light and darkness, and wealth and poverty all coexisted in a strange, twisted harmony. It was a place that few dared to enter, and even fewer dared to leave."
"I recently visited The Coffee Club Smithfield three times and had the most horrible experience that I have ever had at a café. The customer service was terrible, the tables were dirty with leftover plates, and to make matters worse, my wait time exceeded an hour on each visit. When my order finally arrived, I was shocked to find that my dishes were incomplete, with missing ingredients, and some parts of the dishes were undercooked and unripe. In one of the dishes, the avocado was all mashed up and thrown on the plate, and in the other dish, the avocado was served with the skin still on it. To add to that, the plates were cold and the food did not seem fresh. The level of unprofessionalism and disregard for basic hygiene standards is simply unacceptable. As a frequent traveler to Australia for business, I have been a loyal customer of The Coffee Club for many years, but after these three experiences, I am extremely disappointed and angry. I hope that The Coffee Club will take immediate action to address the issues at the Smithfield store and ensure that such negative experiences are not repeated in the future. I cannot recommend The Coffee Club Smithfield to anyone and I will never visit this location again. In conclusion, my experience at The Coffee Club Smithfield was truly horrible and I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of service and quality of the food."
"The Coffee Club Smithfield Updated on 16/7/2022 After a good work out, walking for hours in the Cains Botanic Gardens, it is time for a big work out for our stomachs. Unlike our visit, the Cafe is busy, almost half full. I see on the front window notice about staff vacancy. That explains why some reviewers complained about slow service. Is it fair or justified to "blame" on the young and inexperienced staff? I was young once and inexperienced, and under normal circumstances, the company should the blame. Unfortunately, COVID-19 turns the world topsy-turvy and unless the staff is rude, I always give them a chance to learn and Improve. In face it is true that it takes more than half an hour for our meal to arrive, and the same order like previous visit, the Burgers look and taste totally different, except the plate arrangement and chips are the same. Today, the Burger has very "juicy" bacon, but no tomato. The bun has sesame on top too. Despite that, it still tastes very good and chips are very crispy. This is what the order should be, not the previous occasion's. A bit careless of the staff not to supply a saucer with the tea. A little mistake like this is a markdown on ranking. After my simple but satisfying meal, I stack up the plates, cutlery and cups so that the staff can just put them on a tray more quickly. I ask her whether they are short staff, to that she replies there is one on training in the kitchen. I am a very strong coffee drinker. The latte is too weak for me. Visited on 12/7/2022 It is more like a late afternoon tea / snack. There are only two more customers in the Cafe. In fact, the whole shopping centre is silent like a grave. There is only young staff working at the front. We place our order. It seems the computer system is not that user-friendly friendly for the staff to process the special offer. There is quite a good size Cafe, and clean. Like most The Coffee Club, it has a display cake/pastry cabinet. On the wall of the dining area, there is a caption "Where will I meet you?" However, the "r" is missing from the caption on the counter? Is this a game to spot the error? Will I get a prize for mentioning it in my review? The Burger looks great and tastes good. The bun has a smooth brown crust. The chips are golden brown and crispy. Overall the quality is better than many "burgery". Despite short staff, the young staff handles the operation well."
"We called in The Coffee Club / Smithfield for one late small breakfast & two hot drinks on Saturday 28/05/22 & goodness me appears to be too many young staff & slow workers. Waited almost 30 minutes for the light one small meal to get served & drinks took around 20 minutes, we also noticed only one young female appears to be very multi skilled serving the meals & drinks to diners + cleaning the tables. I counted at least six staff & pretty obvious the Left didn't know what the Right was doing & some were getting mixed up with the orders. Really needs someone more mature to run this place with more experience & teach the staff to be more multi tasked & operate like a Team. Paid in total AUD $31.30 How the small meal took 30 minutes to get served I'll never know & we certainly wont return."
