Welcome to Chill At Portofino, a charming bar, cafe, and restaurant located in the beautiful coastal town of Palm Cove, Australia. Situated at 41 Williams Esplanade, our establishment is not just a place to dine, but a point of interest that offers an exceptional dining experience.

Chill Café was born out of a heartfelt prayer almost fifteen years ago. At a time when life seemed uncertain, the owner, a former Sydney resident, found himself at a crossroads. In late 2009, Cairns was facing the challenges of the Global Financial Crisis, and it was clear that a change was needed. With the support of his wife, Manuela, and her father, Corrado, he took a leap of faith and together they built Chill Café.

The early years were not without their difficulties, as Palm Cove's seasonal nature presented its own set of challenges. However, with grace and determination, the team at Chill Café persevered, taking small steps that gradually strengthened their offering. In 2015, they took a significant leap forward by acquiring the neighboring business, Portobello, and the two adjoining leases. This marked the beginning of a new chapter for Chill Café, as they transformed into Chill at Portofino, a premier beachfront dining destination.

As we enter a new season, free from the restraints of the Covid pandemic, Chill at Portofino is proud to present our new menu. It is a true reflection of our Italian heritage, infused with the flavors and traditions that have shaped our culinary journey. We have carefully curated a selection of dishes that showcase who we truly are, while still embracing the best of Chill Café.
