"I accepted that this company was not up the task of getting a trademark through to approval and I moved on with running my businesses. Before the work started they quoted fees that would be involved in their service and these fees were accepted and paid as they were due and the work progressed. Weeks later they issued a fresh invoice for an unknown cost that I disputed, and they replied basically affirming to me that they needed to charge us just under $500 more for the service of "confirming that the examination was not successful, and asking if would you like us to keep trying?" I disputed this cost and they replied with paragraphs of legal jargon and continued to start proceedings against me. Unfortunately I am too busy to take it further. I wish they were half as competent at using the law to do their job as they are at using it to extract fees from their clients."
