"First time to book a teleconsultation at 3:45pm. Doctor only called in at 5:45pm. The lateness was not the main issue, the issue for me is there was NO communication at all, whether is from the HotDoc application, or the practice itself about there may be possible delay in the appointment. Called the reception after waiting for 30min in the video call, and the receptionist just casually said it is very common to wait for hours for the telehealth to happen, especially for the Doctor whom I'm seeing. Continue waited on the computer's video call because worried that the Doctor may call in at any time and I might miss it - receptionist's advice was to just wait on the video call, there will be no reminder when the Doctor is calling. Doctor ended up calling through my mobile number and said video call was not neccessary. For the 2h I've been waiting, I could have go and do something else instead of just waiting in the room in the video call. Again, the lateness wasn't the problem, the communication from the practice is just poor, messaging could be more clear on whether a video consultation is required on the HotDoc application, and the receptionist should have told me to not waited on the video call, as the Doctor will call you when it is your turn and only if required the doctor will ask you to turn switch into a video call."
"Dr Robert White Grosvenor Street General Practice review. Booked in with this doctor as appointments were available days earlier than with my regular doctor. Turned up a few minutes early for appointment, told it would be at least 45 minutes as there were two patients still to see. Came back in 40 minutes and was told still two patients to see. Two and a half hours before being seen. Interestingly, another family member was phoned to let them know their appointment was delayed with another doctor at the same practice. Wish I had looked at reviews before booking as ratemyds shows other patients with same wait issues. Doesn't appear to listen as I mentioned a specialist had recommended a specific test and that I still had the old referral form. My regular doctor had also mentioned this test. Asked me why I wasn't taking a particular medication; replied that it had never been prescribed (probably because there has never been a definite diagnosis, which the prior mentioned test might resolve). In any case, my symptoms are ongoing for three months and not typical for the initial diagnosis. Eventually he gave me a referral for the test, I asked if that imaging practice had the necessary equipment as my last referral for imaging was only available at one location. When I phoned the place the referral was for they said they don't do that test. I also mentioned I had seen an allied health professional and that they had emailed the doctor with their findings. The doctor said he hadn't seen the email; I can't comment on why he couldn't ask his office staff to forward that email to him. He just appeared uninterested. I emailed the practise twice, the first time seven days ago in the hope of getting a referral to the place that does actually have the required imaging equipment, with a link to the image referral form and asked for it to be sent to me. Not even an acknowledgement of either email. A frustrating and disappointing experience that left me feeling down, no closer to what the medical issue is and out of pocket for no result. Update 29th June: had to revisit this practice to obtain a copy of the payment receipt as Medicare had no record of it so no rebate had been paid."
"My other Drs neglected me (my health), until I came to this beautiful practice & i'm now finally on the right track. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
"I like my GP, dr. Rob White. However, there are long waiting times for his appointments. I usually try to get the first appoinment to save time. For the first time, I was late for my appointment and I called to inform them. When I arrived, the doctor was already there and another patient was sent in. I undrestand that it was my foult to be late. But I expected to be next. They gave me the last appoinment. The behavior of one of the receptionists, an older lady, was very unprofessional and rude when I asked a few questions about it. Why can't they be more caring, kind and respectful? This is a health center! It was not fair. I had to cancle my appoinment. I am not happy about it."
"I went in today with Dr Jenna, I can’t thank her enough for making me feel lot better after seeing her. She is one of the best doctors in Hobart, a very caring person, polite and kind. Thanks"
