Reviews of Waterford State School
"Has gone down hill, my sister is not being taken care of. My sister has anxiety and the principals are stoping my mum from taking her up to class witch helps her. I am previous student I am very disappointed in the school."
"I had pre-booked a spot for my child in OSHC (Camp Aus) a week before. But at 3 pm on the day of her reservation, I received a call from the school office that my daughter had been waiting for collection at the pickup area instead of OSHC. This was not a good start to my daughter's second day of Prep. I am optimistic that steps will be taken to improve the process to prevent this from happening again. A worried father."
"This school is absolutely wonderful for children who need more individual style like learning, listening and caring for. They not only individually care and look out for each child/human being, they also care and help struggling parents without judgement or criticism. The Staff and teachers r more like family or friends. My children love going to school and that is one of waterfords key learning tools is to have their little people wanting to get up each morning proud and happy to attend Waterford State School. XXXOOO............... I'm not into doing reviews but this School is worth the review."
"I have fond memories of Waterford State School. There were 68 kids total in the school back then. 1961-1967. Walked from Loganlea across to Waterford daily. Had to be on the ball back then during flood time. The Logan River was spilling over the side of the bridge by about 200mm in the morning. The call was will I go or not? Frank Miller was the principle. I caught up with him years after, just before he passed away. Would like to catch up with the then Miss Freeney who married and became Mrs Hicks, I believe. Viv Bizzel who ran the local post office down the road was also my barber after hours of course. Wonderfull man. Saw him many years later as well. All quality people. Very fond memories, very fond. Still pass there sometimes. How it has changed. George van der Schaaf"
