"We didn't originally intend to stop here. It was on our travel planner as a "if you have time, try and see this sight". However, I am so glad we went 8 minutes out of way from the highway, and would highly recommend stopping here. The views were incredible and, unlike many lookouts, there were several points and heaps of space from which to enjoy the view. Even though it was super busy when we went there, at no point did it feel crowded. The blowhole itself was also fantastically entertaining, and honestly really consistent! If you're really wanting to get that picture-perfect photo or slowmo video, you really only have to wait every 7-10 swells for a big one to come along. While we didn't partake in these, there were heaps of walking tracks and picnic spots if you have time for a longer stop. And the main street we drove down to get to the lookout was bustling with parks and cafes and shops. There was also a cafe at the top of the hill right near the lighthouse, and the public toilets there were some of the most clean and well-kept I've ever seen. Perfect if you need a moment on a long journey. Highly recommended, and would absolutely tell friends and go back myself."
"Beautiful picnic area with spectacular sea views. Only 2 hours drive from western Sydney suburbs, it's a must go place if you are visiting Sydney. The Blow Hole is an amazing scene to witness; the way those waves splash so high through the hole is purely amazing."
"Kiama Lighthouse in NSW, Australia, is a captivating blend of history and natural beauty. The classic white lighthouse against the backdrop of the ocean and cliffs creates a nostalgic charm. The walk to the lighthouse offers stunning coastal views, and the lighthouse itself stands as a sentinel over the iconic Kiama Blowhole. This unique location makes for a mesmerizing experience, where history meets the power of nature. Whether you're drawn to history or seeking breathtaking vistas, Kiama Lighthouse is a must-visit destination that leaves a lasting impression."
"The Kiama lighthouse mountain area is a perfect winter getaway. The sunny days and clear skies make for stunning views of the mountains and the ocean. There are not much activities to enjoy, A small town atmosphere is charming and inviting. Pros: Amazing views Perfect sunny winter weather Plenty of activities to enjoy Charming small town atmosphere Cons: Can be crowded during peak season Some activities, such as hiking, can be challenging Overall: This is a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. If you're looking for a winter getaway with stunning views and plenty of activities to enjoy, this is the place for you."
"A beautiful scenic spot with a fabulous lighthouse and the added bonus of a famous blow hole! The views from Kiama lighthouse are truly breathtaking, and they get even better if you're lucky enough to be there for sunset. You'll also see whales depending on the time of year (though you'll need binoculars). There is loads of green space to sit on, as well as countless rock areas to crawl around and explore, and numerous benches to sit. The blowhole is fun, but not that much of an attraction unless you're lucky enough to be there on a day where the sea is rough and active enough to get it off big and often. All of the areas around the blowhole are fenced off for safety reasons. There is loads of parking available for free, which is a huge plus."
