"The climb to the top is quite steep. It starts at the carpark n ends when you get to the Rocky Knoll then it is easy going as you are walking along the top of the mountain. Coming back down it's about the same steepness but there is 2 signs ... 1 says CAUTION other 1 EXTREME CAUTION. BUT THE VIEWS ARE AWESOME WHEN YOU GET TO GOOLMAN LOOKOUT. From the beginning to the end of the walk just all the birdlife. You don't see many but hear all the different bird calls."
"A great place for a hike, walk or bird watching (heaps of birds early morning). Plenty of different tracks to explore. Love the new community hall. The picnic tables were very dirty, doesn't look like they had been cleaned for months. Suggest bringing a tablecloth or blanket if you plan on using them. There is an unsealed ~2km road to access the car park/campground, but this is flat and any 2WD should be able to handle it with ease."
"A wonderful bit of seclusion, Hardings Paddock is a nice getaway from the city rat race. Great if you're into bird watching, or simply wanting to a quiet place to finish that book you have beside your bed. It has numerous tables and BBQ's for use, plus toilets. This is also the launching point for a number of walking tracks, horse and mountain bike tracks. Bring the family for that out of the way picnic, as there is plenty of green pasture alongside a small lake, to park yourself or toss around a frisbee, softball or your favourite pig skin footy."
"Good, new, clean toilets facilities, barbecues and covered picnic areas. Great for kids, lots of green, grassy rolling hills. The ponds had lots of ducks and there were lots of friendly birds. Very quiet and relaxing area. We enjoyed our time there."
