"My partner had always had a great experience with them until just over a month ago we took in our puppy for pain relief. Temporary relief until we were able to get a referral to an orthopaedic. He was given medication to to relieve the pain, however as we got home - he was not eating as he usually does. We took him back the next day and they gave him an injection saying “yes the side effects of the medication give yesterday, are stomach ulcers and kidneys failure”, so keep in mind they informed us AFTER we had given him 1 tablet and returned for assistance as he wasn’t his usual self. Two weeks later our poor puppy was not still not eating consistently and was rushed to emergency as he was very lethargic. Long story short - due to the complications of the medication it caused irreversible kidney failure that took a toll on his poor little body. Had we been informed prior to giving him this medication of the side affects - we would not have gone ahead with it - so please, please ask potential risks etc before giving your animal medication as this could alter your decision. We put our trust in them, and sadly weren’t informed of such possibilities - resulting in having to put our poor boy down ): It’s sad to think funds that were meant to go towards his orthopaedic visits were spent on his emergency bills and cremation. Our family will never be the same, so please if anything INFORM your patients of the risks involved as that’d be greatly appreciated. Definitely a learning curve we will be taking into account when our hearts are mended and we’re ready for another furbaby."
