My encounter with this establishment has been nothing short of a nightmare, marred by multiple issues that have left me extremely dissatisfied and frustrated. To begin with, the problems started upon check-in when I discovered that the rooms I had booked were not the ones provided. Despite specifically reserving an apartment with two rooms, I was given an apartment with only one room. This blatant disregard for my reservation not only caused inconvenience but also displayed a lack of professionalism and attention to detail on the part of Bay View Villas. Unfortunately, the issues did not end there. The mishandling of my personal belongings has further compounded my disappointment. I had accidently left my Apple Airpods in the hotel after my stay, when I provided a pre-paid envelope to return my item I was sent a $20 set of earbuds that did not belong to me. This level of carelessness and negligence is utterly unacceptable. It not only demonstrates a lack of respect for personal belongings but also raises concerns about the security and integrity of guests' possessions. The subsequent interactions with the hotel management regarding these issues have been equally disheartening. Their response has been evasive, unhelpful, and lacking in accountability. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction and seeking a resolution, they have failed to take responsibility for their mistakes and have provided minimal assistance in rectifying the situation. Moreover, the lack of communication and the prolonged delay in resolving the issues have added to my frustration. Despite their promises to rectify the situation and return my Apple Airpods, I have yet to receive any concrete actions or a clear timeline for the resolution. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction is deeply concerning. In light of these experiences, I cannot recommend Bay View Villas to fellow travelers. The incorrect rooms, coupled with the mishandling of personal belongings, reflect a lack of attention to detail, poor management, and a disregard for guest satisfaction. It is my sincere hope that Bay View Villas acknowledges the severity of these issues and takes immediate steps to rectify them. This should include providing the correct rooms as booked, providing a refund, and ensuring the prompt return of my Apple Airpods. Additionally, it is crucial that they implement stringent measures and staff training to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future. As a discerning traveler, I value professionalism, integrity, and exceptional service. Regrettably, Bay View Villas has failed to meet these basic expectations. Their mishandling of both room reservations and personal belongings has left a lasting negative impression. I strongly urge potential guests to exercise caution and consider alternative accommodations that prioritize customer satisfaction and maintain the highest standards of service. My experience with Bay View Villas has been nothing short of a disappointment, and I sincerely hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale for others."

"Lovely, clean, spacious apartments. Very friendly and welcoming staff at reception that were happy to cater to our needs. We had an amazing view from our room on the top floor, which made it worthwhile to stay just outside of the main city (city just down the hill - less than 5 min drive) No daily room servicing but replacement towels and toiletries etc readily available. Limited undercover parking but plenty of outdoor parking available too. All parking is free. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

"Stayed in 1 bedroom apartment located on level 3. Great value for money, clean, tidy and plenty of space. Situated on a hill this apartment had lovely views of Hobart. Only short cab/uber to CBD. Staff were friendly and accommodating sending a text to let us know the apartment was ready to go at 10.30am if we wanted early check-in. Will definitely stay again!"

"The location on the hill was great, but there were no views at all, only a rock wall. Inside was tiny and unattractive with cheap carpets, uncomfortable couches and a 30 inch TV, which is not very appropriate for a 6 bed family-sized apartment. The apartment walls were all cement, and the aircon was too small for the space so it never felt warm even after hours. The kitchen could only hold one person at a time which made meals time difficult. It also cost $8 if you want to use the washing machine and dryer. The three stars were for the location, the comfortable beds and the renovated bathroom, the one luxury in an otherwise dreary apartment."

"Great location, views are stunning. Little terrace cottage was well equipped but decor and furnishings are dated. Clean and tidy. Not good if you can't walk up stairs. Swimming pool on site is small and not very deep but good if you have children. Staff were lovely and overall the facilities were plentiful for a small boutique apartment complex."
