"Fantastic service from the Hobart store. Everything was explained regarding build time, shipping, customisation and updates for delivery. Many other reviewers that have left negative reviews would be well aware of the process of your furniture getting built and that the delivery team don't remove packaging. That wasn't a problem as the guys delivered the lounge on time and were helpful. The 12 week build time is definitely worth it for the quality and comfort of the furniture for sure. "We purchased an Alpa modular recliner lounge July 2022. It was great for 6 months until my husband sat on the recliner chair and his butt went right through and he looked underneath and the timber had snapped in half and broke. We waited 3 weeks for a service technician to come and look at it and another 2 weeks for them to say they would replace it but it would 16-20 weeks for a replacement. Well today the replacement arrived and the recliner won't work and didn't when they delivered it. This is an $11,000 lounge suit and the makings and mechanics of it are very budget like. Still waiting to find out what they are going to do about this but im thinking a refund and we will take our money elsewhere."
"Tried to phone Cambridge store to order a lounge on Saturday, call went to call centre and took 15 minutes to answer. Then told they can't transfer calls until Monday, but the sale ends on Sunday. I wanted to speak with the salesperson the assisted me when looking at the lounge as he was very helpful. I asked could they phone the store and give them my number to call me back, but no, you can send an email. Really frustrating, will lose the sale as I can't speak with the store. They said I would need to go into the store, this happens to be over 2 hours drive away. They then hung up on me. They don't seem to care if they lose the sale, how difficult would it be to resolve an issue if it is that difficult to make a purchase. Then when I looked for an email contact, I could not find one."
"Worst experience and still no answer! My husband made a review regarding a faulty Anita chair that was packed already damaged and so broke, a month ago and we are still awaiting a response from the Customer Service team. As a business, you can’t expect a customer who went through all the right steps to advise of a genuine faulty product, to then tell them that the over $300 chair would need to be taken to a repairer ourselves (2 hours away) and repaired at our own cost because it was their ‘belief’ it wasn’t sent to us faulty. Disgraceful Nick Scali, this is why your customer service reputation sits on a low scale."
"the one star is for the delivery service - for $125 delivery fee you would expect they would take the rubbish with them but they did not. EDIT [02/05/2022]: Thank you Nick Scali for the response below, unfortunately this was not communicated to us when we bought the lounge and ottoman. We were only advised to pay the extra fee upon delivery. Our expectations were based from our recent Harvey Norman purchase which has a delivery fee of $50 (for a fridge) that covers the delivery, unpacking, setup, and removals of packaging materials. Therefore we were shocked that we paid almost 3x of that with Nick Scali and we were left with all the packaging materials."
