"Staff are lovely, prices are decent. Food-wise, here are my ratings for each dish as someone who’s grown up in Southeast Asia: - Teh Tarik $7 : 2/5, doesn’t quite have the rich, deep flavour of a classic teh Tarik, but at least it doesn’t taste like English breakfast tea with milk, which it unfortunately does at some places - Chicken curry with rice: 2/5, curry is watery and a little too sweet for our liking, the spices don’t really come through - Tom yum noodle soup: 3/5, again a little lacking in the richness of flavour, kind of tastes like a stock cube??? - spicy sambal udon: 4/5, decent with good amount of spice and sambal flavour, nice dark colour with the sauce Overall, this is still somewhere I might come to for a quick bite at an alright price point, if im craving a bit of Malaysian cuisine. However, it won’t really hit the spot if you’re familiar with how these dishes should taste like."
"One of the best restaurant that serves authentic malaysian food. Very reasonably priced."
"If you are hungry on a budget and wants a tasty good food this is the place to go! Staff is friendly portion is generous Price is incredibly cheap And it's FREE BYO"
"Friendly/courteous staff, fantastic/well cooked food and the restaurant that deserves the top Malaysian place in Hobart. No time limit (seems to be a thing in Hobart) for our dine in and it would be better off if you had a reservation based on the size of this establishment. It is a kid friendly place without the posh mannerisms and the staff always have a smile. Kudos to the chef for creating a balanced (oil to food ratio) dinner for us and adding just the right tangy Malay touch. This place does accept Amex. It is also one of the cleanest toilet I've seen in a restaurant (to me that says a lot about an establishment)."
