"Same dishes, different tastes from other bento, I don’t know what’s happened, so nasty!!!"
"I used to come to bento quite allot to be honest I was a regular, service was awesome food was amazing. I mean flavour was there looked amazing and smelt great. I’m working back in the city and started off back how it was and I was happy, but of late it’s either changed hands in ownership and staff or something because I’ve had three terrible experiences now. 1st time the girl threw my bento box like dropped it in front of me on the table didn’t say a word I thought ohh well I can give anyone a fair go, so I forgot about it. Second time I come back and food not tasting like it’s worth it, It had been slowly slipping in flavour and visually looked poor. Not to mention lights off in the bathroom facilities and not clean and smelt. Horrible… Which leads me to today I wanted to have faith because I really enjoy bento. But today will be my last, not only did I practically have to clean my own table there’s mess everywhere tables sticky dirty. Staff are very quiet and rude, well they come across rude they probably don’t mean to be I don’t know. But not only did my b4 taste terrible stodgy sauce in the teriyaki fatty and slimy made me feel a bit sick and also a bone in there. Which I understand can happen but I bring my family in here and I can’t risk a sharp bone on my 4 year old. I’m pretty easy going but that’s my last straw I hope you can pull it together but with the amount of sushi style places in the city I shall be looking for a new establishment. Surely I can’t be the only one I’m just trying to tell you so as you can learn from this. Boxes of deliveries always laying around."
"How clever to have Bentos in the sizes! The mini Bento suits the small eaters and ensures no food wastage. Price is reasonable and quality is not compromised for the mini Bentos. Mr husband had the big bento. Food is good and there is variety."
"Bento on Elizabeth Street is one of the best value restaurants in central Hobart, and stands out from the large number of sushi restaurants in the area with an extensive menu containing sushi rolls and packs, Bento boxes, Donburi, Udon noodles and more. Biodegradable containers are used for takeaways."
"Despite some recent poor reviews, i thought I would give this place a go. I ordered the teriyaki and fried chicken bento. Teriyaki chicken tasted like boiled chicken with a clear sauce on top (had the texture of snot). It doesn't resemble or taste like teriyaki chicken at all. Salad also had a snot like sauce on top. Rest of the meal was below par. No flavour as i had expected. Definitely do not recommend this place and will never eat here again."
