"They serve tasty Japanese Ramen. Must try their Tantanmem Ramen our all time favourite (note: we prefer to separate the spicy ingredients, just tell their friendly staff). They serve a lot of variety ramen like chicken, vegetable and pork as well. For side dishes, we had Chicken Karaage, Takoyaki, and Soft Shell Crab is one of a kind!"

"Shinya Ramen has the most authentic tasting Ramen in Geelong. After coming back from Japan, I was on a hunt for what we had locally here in Geelong and was pleasantly surprised by this place. I’ve had both the chicken and the pork Ramen dishes. The pork Tonkotsu Ramen broth is thick and rich in flavour, the chicken broth is equally as tasty, and you can tell there’s a lot of effort that has gone into the broth. My favourite part of Ramen, aside from the broth is the marinated soft boiled egg, very delicious!"

"The waiter closed the AC in the extreme hot weather. (40 degrees????) The food is disgusting. Order the chicken katsu. But didn’t taste or look good… the pen-fried dumplings are soft. For saving your time and money, DO NOT come to this restaurant."

"Yummy as! I had the veg ramen with veg gyoza was yummm! Also lol yay 10% off for students ahhahah came right after prac to have lunch there :) Update: came back a couple times more recently... Service seems to have dropped. Staff is cold... very curt. I feel like I'm a bother instead of welcomed as a customer. Cool robot though. Good food. Glad they have more vegan options"

"The ramen soup is far worse than the other shop, no soup aroma, but salt and chili instead. The Waurn Ponds Shinya is great but the Waterfront one is disaster! Everything is worse! Less pork meat for pork gyoza, not fresh chicken karage with a lot of salt to cover the bad taste. Never come back again!"
