"Met my uncle and aunt down in Geelong as they had just come back from Tassie on the Spirit of Tasmania. Found Bo Thai online and booked. It's a lovely foreshore area and understandably busy for parking at 6pm on a Sat. There was lots of parking further along near the ferris wheel and its a short stroll back. Staff were sweet and lovely. Very friendly and patient. Food was fantastic. We had the fish cakes and crispy prawns as entrees. We had the Bo Thai special - mixed seafood served sizzling to great visual effect, the Panang curry (beef) and Crispy pork belly along with Pineapple fried rice. the Flying Brick cider was good too. Great unrushed night - tasty food and excellent service. Recommend booking as it is a cosy little place and was full at that time. We will definitely return to try more of the menu."
"We got the green curry and the lamb shank curry and we absolutely loved it! Both curries were creamy and delicious! I'm shocked to see that other reviewers mentioned rude staff and bad service. We experienced none of that. The lady who served us was LOVELY. Super friendly. The place had a few other customers in there and our food still came out in a timely manner. Definitely coming back again!"
"Servers were kind and patient Service took about an hour (I think they might be understaffed at the moment) , and the food portions were much smaller than expected for the high prices. I don't mind waiting, but the food should be worth it. The penang curry chicken was overcooked, and had approximately 7 pieces of chicken. These chicken pieces might tally to 1 and a half pieces of a chicken's thigh meat, or less. The garlic and pepper sauce with beef was 85% vegetables and 15% beef - and that's generous. The mixed entree was $12. The spring roll had no meat, just noodles(?) and carrot. The satay was nice, but the only thing that gave the rest of the entree flavour was the watered down sweet chilli sauce. The traditional fried rice was nice, but the portioning was about 2 bowls of their small steamed jasmine rice, or slightly less than 2. The Pad Thai was alright. The Coke costed $4 for a can of 250ml. But hey, at least the water was free! If you're happy to wait about an hour to be underwhelmed by pricey food, this place is perfect for you."
"Came here during queen’s birthday. The surcharge was 15% which I think is a little high as credit card also incurred surcharge. The food isn’t bad but the white wine we had tasted a little stale. Pad Thai was above average. The seafood volcano was great (lots of sizzle)."
