"Rather than do a sit in I decided to takeaway, mainly so I could see the amount you got and how it was presented. Not much of an atmosphere going in. It seemed like they couldn't be bothered...but not rude or overly unfriendly. I ordered the Bento Box 3 which consisted of Fried Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, Steamed Rice and what I presumed was a version of Japanese Cabbage Salad. It came to about $20 and didn't seem much for the price. But this was somewhat an illusion as it turned out to be quite filling and had plenty of flavour to me. I'm not sure what the other Bento places are like but will have to try one to see what, if any, difference there is when it comes to the atmosphere and service."
"Every time I go to this Bento I leave cranky. The service here is so incredibly mid. They got my order wrong and I tried to explain it to the server but dude had his AirPods in and didn’t listen. It was really cringe and disrespectful. Another time here I tried to get a Donburi here and they didn’t give me any vegetables. And when I did ask for some they were super stingy and seem annoyed I asked. Honestly don’t go here you are better off going all the way to the Sandy Bay Bento because it’s not worth the negative energy and vibes."
"So much worse than Sandy Bay Bento 1st photo is from Moonah, 2nd from Sandy Bay, just for reference Both are Chicken Katzu Donburi Moonah gave 4 pieces of chicken while Sandy Bay gave 10 and tasted better too Definitely disapapointed"
"Very limited vegetarian options. They do not offer a vegetarian curry like the Glenorchy Bento restaurant. They also do not have any fruit juices, and the only drink options available are soft drinks or plain bottled water. The avocado sushi they prepared was ok. It is hard to recommend this restaurant if you are a vegetarian."
