"WE LOVE THIS PLACE ESPECIALLY JOHNNY HE NEEDS A RAISE IMMEDIATELY AND SANTIAGO, ASH, AND ZOE SERVED US THE BEST DRINKS WE EVER TASTED AND THEY WERE SO QUICK AND I THINK THEY ALL NEED A RAISE BUT ESPECIALLY JOHNNY BUT LIKE SANTIAGO, ZOE AND ASH ALSO DESERVE A RAISE BUT IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE BUDGET, I BELIEVE JOHNNY IS PRIORITY BECAUSE HE FOUGHT OFF WHOLE LOTTA DRUNK MEN TO SAVE US FROM IMMINENT DANGER BUT IN A RSA RESPONSIBLE WAY. "We arrived around 9pm. There was no line nor did the place appear to be at capacity. We were told one person could go in as a person leaved. We said we'd prefer to wait and go in as a group. Just then the security guard with a wink wink let five young guys in that arrived after us. Not sure what the problem was. We were recieved well at every other place we went to. If you in your early 30s or older save yourself some time and go elsewhere."

"Very disappointed with my first, and last, experience at Uptowns. The venue seemed like a wonderful place, however a security staff member by the name of Jackson was very hostile towards my friend, forcing him out of the bathroom and building after we had been inside for no longer than 7 minutes. He stated that my friend had been in the bathroom for 15 minutes and was shouting obscenities from the bathroom stall. I attempted to de-escalate the situation and explain that wasn’t even possible since we had just arrived, when Jackson mentioned he could check our entry time, I asked him if he could, to which he replied he couldn’t show me that information for security reasons. Overall, terrible experience, hostile security staff and I will never be coming back to this venue for as long as security like that are in charge."

"Really fun and vibey bar. It is very photogenic, and the addition of the old Nintendo consoles and games is a great way to keep occupied whilst you sip your drink. They also have a DJ some nights, so I can really recommend this place if you want a more chill setting."
