"My accommodation was cancelled 4 hours before I was due to arrive. The manager "Tony" lied by saying a problem just came up on the day despite them calling me the night before to offer an upgrade due to a problem with the room. There was no assistance offered to find alternative accommodation and when I probed any available options I was told "its your problem" and was hung up on. I would definitely advise against booking here or with any Newcastle Executive apartments given their poor caliber of managers with a complete lack of regard for leaving people stranded. Just appalling customer service, the worst I have experienced."

"Read the reviews and thought surely this place isn’t as unclean as they say. Wrong. I was travelling a long way, arriving around 11pm to a filthy and smelly room. Unfortunately I had to stay here as there weren’t other options at this time of night. This place has so much potential if only they had bothered to clean the room. The room smelt horrible, aircon had brown stuff dripping from it, the shower was dirty, the sink was disgusting with what looked like someone’s hair and mucus, there was hairs and clump of hair on the floor, a white stain on the blanket, thick dust on the mirror and even a chicken fettucine in the fridge. Website says non smoking rooms, it even says it on the doors, but there’s cigarette burns on the blanket and pillow. It was gross enough that I questioned if the sheets were even clean because clearly nothing else had been cleaned. It’s such a shame as I would stay here every time if they bothered to actually clean anything. I found contacting them was good Although the first person I spoke to was not professional, the second was great. Codes were easy to use. Nice aesthetic but so unclean"

"The price of this accommodation reflects what you get . The place was clean enough however the walls are thin no soundproofing. Lots of swearing heard throughout the night and as we were leaving in the morning there was a domestic going on in another room which upset me greatly, I actually feared for the girl in that room . Now I know the marks suites are not responsible for this but I think the price attracts this sort of undesirable clientele.( live and learn) We also found the staff who take your booking/ queries to be really rude when you have a issue and very unwilling to offer any customer service . On the plus side underneath has a pub which is not affiliated with the accommodation at all entirely a seperate entity . The staff here were fantastic, nothing was a problem and service was excellent. Emily in particular was a pleasure to deal with . Food not bad either."

"We had trouble getting the proper correspondence in order to get in through the main door and room doors, Luckily the gentleman receiving calls were helpful. Once we got in we found that the rooms were filthy, seems they haven't been cleaned for some time. Dirty floors, cobwebs on the bathroom window with an assortment of dead mosquitoes and debris. Had to close the bathroom door as mosquitoes were gaining access through a gap in the window. TV didn't work, air con didn't work. Had to swap batteries for both devices. TV volume is so low that you can't hear it over the yelling from passing patrons let alone the air con but at least we had a place to sleep. The pub downstairs which is not affiliated was nice, the food was good and the staff were even better. This place is almost ok if you're on a small budget but still not worth the money. Whoever the owner is should stay a night so that they can adjust their prices. On a positive note, it is close to the hospital."
