"We had the most magical stay here. It was the perfect weekend getaway for me and my husband. Marisa was so accomodating, even providing pregnancy-friendly additions like alcohol-free cider for me to enjoy during our stay. Our massages with Michelle were divine. The cottage was clean, warm and secluded. It felt like just the the of us the whole time. Would definitely recommend."
"WOW, where should I start with this place. Marisa & Greg have created a wonderful relaxing oasis at Ghost Hill Road Retreat. My partner and I were gifted a stay here as a Christmas present and we thoroughly enjoyed a wonderfully calm, recharging two night stay in the Crescent Moon Two-Bedroom Cabin this past weekend. There were so many intimate little pieces to the weekend, the cabin, our stay. From the warm welcome on arrival by Marisa & Greg, to the cheese plate & bottle of bubbles, chocolates, fresh flowers on the table, personally address welcome & instructions letter, a wonderfully stocked breakfast hamper of bacon, tomatoes, eggs, mushrooms, parsley, milk, juice, apples, butter, a full locally made sourdough loaf, local honey, jam, pancake mix, granola, tea, coffee, sugar, as well as a stocked pantry of other commonly used items. There was also two pieces of apple tea cake with fresh berries and cream awaiting us in our cabin. Arriving to a toasty warm cabin (Marisa & Greg had already put the heater on for our arrival) and music playing was a delight. Wood and kindling were stocked for the open wood fire, which is a true love of mine and we made sure to make good use of the luxury that a wood fire gives you. The spa bath was big enough for both of us to enjoy, with more notable touches of candles and little locally made soaps, that smelt divine. Sitting outside on the front porch of the cabin with a morning coffee was absolute bliss. As was the mesmerising view at night, a wonderful natural darkness allowing for viewing of copious amounts of stars. Making the stargazer in me from way back, extremely happy. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make a delicious dinner, gas four burner stove, microwave, plenty of cooking utensils, pots and pans. The kitchen also contains two small fridges, toaster, kettle & coffee machine. There is also a bbq on the porch to cook on. Massages were included in our stay, either 1 x 1hr (1 person) or a 2 x 30mins (two people), my partner and I opted for the 30 minute massage each and we were not disappointed. Michelle was wonderful with the massages and we both highly recommend. Usually I just lay there quietly during a massage but this time I had a wonderful conversation with Michelle while getting my massage. She was friendly and engaging and both the massage and conversation were lovely. The property has plenty of natural bush land surrounding the cabin, with a walking track, picnic areas and a labyrinth. Whether you’re wanting to explore the Bilpin, Berambing and surrounds area or just wanting to lounge around and escape reality for a couple of nights, this is most certainly the place to do it. Marisa, Greg & Michelle are a beautiful family and have a wonderful little spot of Australia with Ghost Hill Road Retreat. We will definitely be back for another stay as well as recommending this gem to everyone we know."
"Ghost Hill Road Retreat was enchanting. From the moment of our arrival, the cabin and its surroundings seeped into our souls and after we got over the amazement of how gorgeous the cabin was, we began to relax. I loved that there was a 360 view of our cabin, New Moon, on the website but the pics didn't do it justice. It was quite roomy and was full of thoughtful, personal touches that sweetened our stay. The welcoming bubbles and cheese platter were delicious and the breakfast provisions were spot on. I have never experienced the level of care and attention at another place that Marisa and Greg have put into their retreat. There were books, movies, CDs and even games to entertain us if we chose; the kitchen was stocked with high quality local produce, even the bathrooms had divine soaps and the king size beds were incredibly comfy. The cabin was secluded and quiet except for birdsong. I was in heaven reading out on the sun lounger on the porch just as I was sitting in front of the fire playing a gripping game of mini Jenga. I honestly can't say enough good things about Ghost Hill Road Retreat and my partner and I will definitely keep coming back."
"After a 2 hour drive we arrived and were greeted my our lovely host Marisa. We drove down to our cabin ‘Crescent Moon’ and were immediately in awe of the beautiful cabin in front of us. Superbly built, welcoming and cosy. There were two buckets of prepared kindling and firewood , so we got the open fire going immediately. The aircon was already on, as was the radio which meant we walked into a warm cabin from the get go. The tranquility struck us as all we could hear were the finches in the trees, immediately relaxing. All the small touches really made our stay special. The incense, little jars of honey and peanut butter, fridge full of breakfast food, fire starters and paper for the fire..the list goes on. Comfy king size beds! The property is large and has a labyrinth in it, also a lovely walking track. I nice surprise was that only 5 minutes drive away was the Botanical Gardens , amazing! So if you want to get away as a couple, or just need some solace, this is the place to go. 5 stars just isn’t enough for this place !"
"Im reluctant to write a review because this place is one of the best kept secrets I have stumbled across. The log cabin we stayed at was amazing, something out of a TV show, it was secluded but still comfortable, the fireplace was relaxing and the cabin was prepared with enough food and snacks to keep 4 people satisfied. Our hosts were nothing short of next level. They were incredibly accommodating with our dietary restrictions, late check-in and even car troubles. I cannot recommend this place highly enough"
