Leaving a previous employer after a decade was not an easy decision for me. However, after interviewing with various companies, I found my home at Nido. I vividly remember walking out of that initial interview with tears in my eyes, knowing that I had finally found what I had been searching for.

"My son has attended the last year, and we couldn't be happier with the service provided. The educators in his room really got to know each child, tailored activities to their needs and likes, were compassionate if they were having a bad day, and were just all around great teachers. My son starts kindy next year, and they have prepared him, and taught him so much in this year, both education-wise but also emotionally. We never doubted our sons safety while at Nido. Today was his last day, and we will miss the educators and centre greatly."
"My daughter couldn’t be any happier. The staff in nursery truely do go above and beyond. She’s learning constantly. We love Nido :)"
"Have viewed quite a few services on the central coast. However this service was the pick of the lot. It made me feel safe to leave my child in the care of these lovely and welcoming educators who all took the time to great me upon arrival and being so nurturing to the children in their care. The director took the time to sort out my Centrelink subsidy issues and help me through the process. Highly recommended!!!"
"My child finished here last year they didnt do the bill right so my rebate was retracted so once again they have taken money from my account because they cannot be bothered to do their job right my bill was completely payed before leaving they have tried to take hundreds of dollars out of my account before a large random amount once again when my bill was completely paid for. I got a failure fee from Bill pay they didn't repay me and it was a lot of talking emailing back and forth got no were nothing but bull out of their mouths thieves I will be reporting them"
"I understand that all companies have policies that need to be followed, however, sometimes life is also about compassion and understanding. There are ways to help people in tough situations and still follow a policy, if the will is there. I believe a good manager should be able to find those ways. If a parent calls to inform staff that they will be late due to something completely out of their control, and the late fee is $2 per minute, a good manager would perhaps arrange with one of the girls, who are properly trained, to babysit the child until the parent arrives. This could be out of the centre but somewhere nearby, in safety. In this way, the parent, who is on a single income and works really hard for every cent, will not have to pay an exorbitant late fee which is more than the daily fee, without the help of Centrelink. Also, the parent will not be told to leave their child with an old woman, who would have to drive 20 minutes in rainy weather to get there, in a shopping centre for an hour where there are dangerous people roaming. And the parent will not be given an ultimatum to talk to neighbours and find a new emergency contact in two days, since the parent works long hours and doesn't even have time to see the neighbours in two days. Emergency contacts are not always available, as people have their own lives and matters to take care of, and we shouldn't have to pay twice the daily fee for that, especially in a one-off situation. I also work for a school, however, I find ways to help my students as they are already paying too much in school fees, and they need their money more than the company does. I don't believe that my situation was handled well. Most childcare centres will look after our children when we pay them, but which ones will go beyond? Not this one. Also, paint covers were not provided when painting, so all my daughter's clothes ended up covered in paint. She also used to fill her water bottle from the tap in the toilet, which is not suitable drinking water, however nobody noticed."
