"Initially a nostalgic experience reliving the way fish n chips were done in the good old days ( wrapped in butchers paper and thick cut chips that has been partially cooked before deep frying) but the very poor quality oil made for very upset stomachs. I am sorry to only give it one star because the service was good."

So much salt rendered all the food inedible, not to mention whatever the state of the oil it was cooked in was like. The salt and pepper squid was weird balls of deep fried mush. I worry for the local seagulls. Surely Salty’s are only in business because I suspect visitors go there whilst the fresh seafood shop that does cooked takeaway is closed on a Sunday - as we discovered"
