"Food is ok. Service is below standard. The prices increase significantly without any indication. One dish priced $20.90 then got charged $28.90. Would be nice to be told when placing the order."
"Great and decent price Chinese restaurant If you want to have some decent Chinese food in Newcastle, I wound highly recommend you try this place! The food is great and service is quick, and most importantly, FREE PARKING outside (not like some places in downtown Newcastle) High recommend pork foot, spicy fish, and Lanzhou Noodles! I ordered 7 dishes for family of 3, it’s only $120 in total!"
"I was looking forward to lunch today, I almost left simply because no one was available to take my order. The cook eventually noticed me and took my order. I ordered a slow cooked beef ramen and the portion size I was given was very generous. It became evident very quickly that the noodles were in definitely house made. In some places the noodles weren't even cut the whole way through and the sizes varied from .5 cm wide too 3cm wide and some were almost transparent whilst another was almost a cm thick. This unfortunately meant that the noodles were not all cooked properly and very difficult to eat. The coriander was lovely and fresh, but served with a lot of stalks. However the beef was beautifully presented and tasted nice and the broth was clean and delicious. Also worth noting that there is a sign on the counter that says a 5 ⭐ review will get customers a free coke - I brought my own coke"
"Good: fried dough stick (Chinese crullers), salt and pepper squid. We loved both the squid and the fried dough stick but these are definitely dishes you want to eat as a dine in as they’re best eaten hot and crispy. Squid was on the salty side and should be eaten with rice. Won’t order again: The eggplant was just okay, not worth getting. Their dim sums were also just alright. We liked the golden mini buns. Their steamed red bean buns lacked filling and their steamed spare ribs with black bean sauce was not that great. Lee’s yum cha at Charlestown has better dimsums. Ramen: this seems to be their specialty dishes. We’ve tried their slow cook beef slice with handmade ramen, beef stew with handmade ramen, and spicy beef with handmade ramen and liked them. They’re big portions so if you’re a small eater you might want to share it with someone."
