Tocal Community Pool Tocal, New South Wales 2421
About the Business
Welcome to Tocal Community Pool, located in the beautiful City of Maitland, New South Wales, Australia. Our establishment holds a special place in the community, as it was built in 1979 with the aim of promoting water safety and providing a safe space for local school children and community groups to learn to swim.
In the 1970s, it became apparent that many children in our area were not swim safe, which sparked the initiative to construct Tocal Community Swimming Pool. Thanks to the generous contributions from the CB Alexander Foundation, local government grants, and support from the local quarry and various community fundraisers, our pool was completed and officially opened in 1979.
It's important to note that Tocal Community Pool is a community swimming pool, rather than a public pool. Therefore, we kindly ask all patrons to familiarize themselves with our membership terms. These terms are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone using the pool, as well as to guarantee that we operate within the guidelines of a "Community Swimming Pool."
Before purchasing a season pass ticket, we strongly encourage you to read and understand our Membership Terms. Season passes are typically available from the end of September school holidays until the end of Term 1 the following year.
To obtain pool passes, you can visit our reception during business hours or approach the Duty Officer after business hours. The upcoming 2023-24 season will run from Monday, September 25, 2023, to Monday, April 29, 2024.
Please note that our Community Pool does not have a lifeguard on duty. We kindly ask all patrons to take responsibility for their own safety while enjoying our facilities.
Furthermore, in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is crucial that all patrons and staff adhere to the current Public Health Orders and NSW health guidelines. For the most up-to-date information on our COVID-safe responsibilities when visiting Tocal Community Pool, please visit the official NSW government website at https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19.
We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for our community. Join us at Tocal Community Pool and make lasting memories while staying active and cool in the water.
