Just one request to Newy locals, please support this small restaurant and business. Newcastle needs and deserves such variety in food. Even though I am a Pakistani myself (living in Newy for 4 years now), I used to drive to Sydney for this kind of food. Believe me, if you have the taste for it, you will get better food here for less money compared to "fancy" places in the same honeysuckle precinct. I am not trying to say other places are bad, but this place just adds to the variety of our dry food scene in Newcastle. Finally, don't order the easy food, such as "KEBABS"... I can assure you and the owner won't admit that they offer kebabs as an appropriation for locals who might have no idea what to order. However, once you try the Karahis (meats in curry in a pan), or lamb or even Afghani Pulao (Pilaf), I can assure you, you will love it. Having travelled to over 20 countries and having tried all sorts of foods around the world, I can assure you that Afghan cuisine is one of the best. Now, all of you might be wondering why I wrote this long review; for a simple reason, my Mrs is from Newcastle and Newcastle is my second home now, hence I want the city to have diverse and varied food options and this place adds to that variety. Finally, the reason I wrote my longest (out of dozens of reviews) ever review is because whenever I visit this place, even on the weekends, it is more or less empty and I feel bad for the owner. I feel bad that we have a cheap food option, where the owners themselves cook fresh, and still very few people visit. So, in short, this place is a MUST VISIT for all Newy food lovers."
