"I notice some negative reviews, and seemingly the business was justified in decision ... perhaps better understanding and communication might have helped on both sides. However, I will add the opposite view. Always found staff great ... young Maddy is a terrific asset ... and help and information fantastic. "A little shocked by the service, and I have never complained or put up a negative review, but in this instance I feel it is needed. Unfortunately. I have been a patron of this Liquorland for three years and today was refused service for no good reason. My son was with me in the store while I was searching for a particular beer. I could not find it in the fridges due to lack of signage, so I took a few minutes looking for what I needed. When I did find it and went to pay the employee behind the counter (an older thin man with facial hair) refused to serve me. He asked my son for ID (he is 15) and when I said be didn't have any and that he was my son, the employee said he could not serve me, and I would not be served for the rest of the shift. I was made to feel like I had done something wrong, when I hadn't. I am disappointed and frustrated, as no real reason was given. Simply " I will not serve you". I only assume he thought I was buying the alcohol for my son, although this was never stated and was definitely not the case. At no point did my son touch either the fridges or any alcohol, he simply was pushing a trolley from Coles with our groceries in. I was polite and friendly, and walked out without a fuss when refused service, however I will no longer be buying from this particular store. Please be aware if you go into this store with your children you may not be served. Disappointed and confused."

"Absolutely horrible service. Went in with my sister to help me carry bottles (she isn’t 18) they wouldn’t serve me as she was underage and I wasn’t 25. So I called my dad down, went in with him and they told us they still can’t serve us due to us being associated with a minor?? The guy was an absolute tosser. Don’t support this business. So rude"

"Don’t try to do an order through Coles online with this store! They will accept the order, take the money from your account, and then 2 hours before confirmed delivery, cancel the order, return funds to account and then say the order was cancelled due to insufficient funds. Maybe get someone in the store that knows how to do their job and process online orders. Will I try for a third time? Not a chance in hell!"
