"Dinner with a friend on a Thursday night. Got a table straight away as they only do walk-in. Some of the Sushi didn't look like the picture of it,presentation abit sloppy. I ordered stir fried Udon Noodles with Seafood, abit oily towards the end,I couldn't finish it. Was looking to try some desserts..most of them were sold out. Did like the touch screen. Good idea"
"I was surprised by this new restaurant. The wagyu beef nigiri is really tasty. I also like the Katsu chicken and honey chicken rolls. The stuff is also nice and patient. I am really happy because I found this fantastic place for me to go with my families and friends."
"Hoping I can change this review in the future. I went on opening day for lunch and later in the week for dinner (having hoped my first experience was just opening day issues). Although the food is fresh and looks well presented, almost everything I ate had a fishy undertone (pork dumplings, chicken based sushi, etc). The rice fell apart and most of the food was quite bland. The undon and curry were particularly disappointing. The udon was lacking flavour and meat (a very thin slice of pork came with it) and the curry was mostly rice, not much sauce, scolding hot and missing eggs shown on the menu - but the chicken on top was great. The lettuce was a strange choice as hot wilted lettuce on curry was disappointing compared to the usual potato and carrot. Unlike the curry missing ingredients shown, I ordered the chicken and cheese sushi which came with a ton of roe on top! I'm not sure if this was supposed to be some creative flare from the kitchen but I had to send it back as I don't like it. The chicken and cheese that was sent back was the best I've had, so well done there. As other reviews have mentioned the music on repeat is very annoying and I struggled to get the staff's attention as they aren't very attentive (the request Bill and call waiter functions on the tablets didn't do anything both visits). I hope to try this place again in maybe six months - there are definitely some things to be worked out and I hope to see more beef based sushi on the menu as it's currently mostly chicken and seafood."
"Been there twice for lunch and dinner during the opening week. It’s good to have sushi train in Mt Barker. Reasonably priced and food quality are not bad. Would be nice if the prices of dishes are shown on the wall or on each table. Floor is very dirty. Will give them time to improve as it is only their first week."
