"Super devastated to find out they closed in Chinatown but super happy to know they opened in TTP instead! Was craving their hotpot as they have one of the best soup base for malatang in Adelaide! Perfect tasty and savoury soup base with decent amount of choices for toppings. Price was reasonable except for 15% Sunday surcharge."
"The food is like no other hot pot place. It is the absolute best hot pot place, but if you get anything like chinese cabbage they won't cut it for you, so you have a big long piece of green vegetable in your throat, ready to choke you. It is good value for what it is, although the lady with white hair and cap working there seemed very unapproachable, almost like she didn't care about the customers. Be careful of cross contamination because you use the same tongs to pick every ingredient. I also recommend the Tom Yum soup base with the 'Spicy' spice level."
"It was an extremely cold day and being inside the food court near Chao Chow was no warmer as the big door near the other end near the playground area was stuck on OPEN. Brrrr….I don’t normally eat lunch at the plaza but at the spur of the very cold moment I did a 360 and headed towards Chao Chow. After selecting anything that I liked and not weighing too much I can honestly say it was a very delicious lunch indeed. I am thrilled to bits to say that this food court finally has something worthwhile for me to have as a meal. Thanks Chao Chow."
"I was sad that Chao Chow closed in Chinatown but excited that they opened in in TTP. Definitely a different vibe as you're eating hotpot in a food court while the price is still similar. The highlight is definitely their offer of Tom Yum broth, which really satisfies our taste buds. They were a bit understaffed & slow but we will come back when we crave for tom yum hot pot!"
"My partner and I ate here for the first time and we were hesitant because we have never eaten here before and the reviews were a bit negative. But the food was delicious, it was hot, the bowls were filled with amazing ingredients and it was worth the money and the range of different things you could add were insane. I would definitely come back."
